Nakira is afraid of other Sanskiras her age. Wonder why? Well, let's find out....
When Nakira was born, she was quite fond of feathers. She loved everything about them. Due to that love, she has always had two feathers with her at all times. She also loves dreamcatchers. One day, when she was a little bit older, she ventured away from her mother, like all little Sanskiras do. But, she didn't realize that they would make fun of her.
She walked up to another Sanskira foal and said "Hi! My name is Nakira. What is...." Before she could finish her sentence the conversation was over. The other foal, a large black and white male with a rainbow mane, had walked away to be with his circle of friends. "Look at her!" he whispered. "She's a witch!!" He shuddered as he said the last part. Everyone else giggled at the comment but glared at Nakira with a 'Don't get near me' look.
Nakira was confused. She was smart enough, however, to know that she didn't belong with that group of foals, so she went over to another group. Same problem. This continued on until she found a female that was much larger than the others. By now, this foal had heard the rumor. She reacted in the worst way possible. The female attacked Nakira and ran her off into the woods. Nakira tried to find her way back but never could. She never knew that it was all a rumor and that the female was always like this. She never knew that it was just a joke because of her feathers. She was never told. So, she took it to heart that she didn't belong and never went back to her herd. She is now afraid of other Sanskiras and doesn't like to trust.
