What is he most proud of?: Artisan, unlike his name would suggest, is not a particularly artistic Teke. His parents had hoped he would be, even choosing an artistic name for him, but it was not to be. For a long time, Artisan felt like he was a disappointment to them. He couldn't find any creative talent within himself. But one day, there was a lightning storm. Some of the foals were very frightened, so Artisan tried to calm them down by telling them a story. And then another story, and another, until the storm had passed. After it was over, one of the other Tekes came up to Artisan and thanked him for helping. "I've never heard anyone tell a story so well," the Teke told him. This got Artisan thinking. Did "artistic" and "creative" extend to storytelling? Even if his storytelling ability didn't meet his parents' expectations, Artisan still loved it. He continued telling stories to any willing audience whenever he got the chance. When his parents heard about it, they were overjoyed. They considered this talent of his extraordinarily creative. Artisan was over the moon when they told him. He had finally found it, found his talent. This, his storytelling talent, is what he is most proud of.

Name: Colton
Gender: Stallion
Age: 4 Years
Height: 15.2hh
What is he most proud of?: Colton is immensely proud of the string around his neck and the beads that are with it. Like all Tekes, this bead and string symbolizes so much to the creature. One might say he is proud of the tradition of the beads rather than the beads themselves but he thinks it as a token of his memory, ultimately associating things in his past to an individual bead while the string, his birth.

Owner: captain swan
Name: Grandeur Illusion (stable name: Luso)
Gender: Stallion
Age: 4 years
Height: 15.2hh
What is he most proud of?: Luso is most proud of his rider, Eric. Eric, openly gay, rescued Luso as they were both going through hard times. Eric, who was being bullied needed a new companion and found Luso sick and hungry at an auction. The two clicked and have been inseparable ever since. Luso is proud of Eric for being himself and for helping both himself and Luso in their times of need. Eric and Luso compete often and enjoy every part of the competition so long as they are together. All in all, Luso is proud of his confident, strong, caring, amazing, best friend and rider.

I've done volunteer work in South Africa, most of it spent working with infant Chacma Baboons and Vervets, but did get a chance to work with big game animal like lions, elephants, rhinos, cheetahs and giraffes.
