Years ago, when Fungo was young, he became sick. He had feverish symptoms and lost consciousness for a few days. When the fever broke and he finally woke up again he realized that the colors around him were no longer there. Everything was pitch black. It didn't take him long to figure out how to work in his new environment, eventually allowing him to become just as well off as his seeing counterparts. He doesn't let his blindness inhibit him and most of the others rarely notice he is blind except for the occasion screw up here and there.
