Seventh of the Angel theme, Ariel

These Angelic tolters are simply called "Angels" or "Angel Tolters, AT" (very creative, I know)
Angels tend to follow their name sake when it comes to personality, so not every Angel is going to be a goodie sugar plum . In appearance, all Angels have glossy, light coloured eyes (pastel almost), and light coloured coats, markings will range. Angels also tend to be taller (no more than 15hh though), smarter, and faster than the average tolter. If you want to know all of the Angels i'm going to do , here is the list. I'm not going to skip any unless it's the same angel but with a different name, so don't worry. If you have any questions feel free to message me!

Adalwulf is shy, particularly towards men. If he sees there are any of the burly figures lining the bank, he sulks back into the cover of the forest. It isn't that he was abused, or attacked by one, it's their deep voices that strikes fear into his chest. It it also their quick hands, and sharp tongues that give reason to flee to safety. The few that have seen this stallion can never get close enough to touch him.
He's a bit of a legend around town. Some claim to see him prancing in the streets when everyone is asleep. Some have blurry and pixelated pictures of him on their phones. It isn't just his reserved nature that makes him a bit of a legend, it's also the blatant marking that resemble that of a bear. Bears have all but died out in the small fishing town, and the last one seen had been by the lake in the wee hours of the morning. Some viewed it as a sign, others were superstitious and just wanted the horse caught and broken. Either way, the elusive stallion was something special to this small town, and to the girl who gained his trust.

I scuff my dark riding boots along the pavement as I near the horse sale. Dust flies through the air, and my clothing is coated in it. The ring comes into view, and I settle in the second row of the bleachers, splintering and rough. The fences surrounding the ring are the same. A few horses are shown, most of them bought, but none catch my eye. Just bays, and blacks and greys. Next, a bright palomino mare comes out, with appaloosa markings on her back. She had a sort of shine to her, and looked full of life. Just as I'm about to raise my hand to bid, a voice far to my right shouts out. Too slow. The palomino mare is loaded into the owner's trailer, looking looks excited, sniffing the hands of everyone around her, whinnying happily to the other horses. I send a little scowl towards where the voice yelled out to claim her, but I know the person is already gone, preparing to bring their brand new mare home to their stables. More horses are sold, and still, none I could get at showed true promise to me. There was a dark blood bay leopard that I had to fight myself not to bid on. They were probably the most handsome stallion I'd ever seen. But also the most aggressive. He was snapping kicking, and bucking the whole time. His leader looked horrified. After him, came a reverse splash sooty bay stallion. He was tall and lean, at least 14hh. His eyes were a bright shade of lime. Without even waiting to see if his personality would shine through, I shot my hand up. Someone on the opposite side of the ring did just after me. And then it launched: the two minute long bidding war. I told myself I hated this person, even though I didn't know them. For all I knew, they were the kindest person on planet Earth. But I had to hate them right now. And I came out on top. I practically flew off the stands, towards my trailer. They were loading him in, and he looked calm, content, and even bored. "Does he have a name?" I questioned the leader. "Nah. The family selling him didn't wanna get attached so they just called him by his coat colour. Smart idea." He cleared his throat and slammed the trailer door shut. I was itching with excitement by now. I got to name him! That doesn't happen at every horse sale.

Personalty: Arael, from afar, could be compared to a rather courageous mare; a good leader, willing to speak up when she needs to. Not many get close enough to see her ferocity for themselves; they don't see the wild look in her piercing eyes, how she tenses up and lunges at every chance, ears flat back, teeth bared. She's barely tame, barely human contact for a second; around Arael, watch your back.

Your first encounter?:

It was a cold day; several inches of snow blanketed the dying grass and tops of the bare trees, creating a not-very-pretty winter wonderland outside. We had quite a few people already come in, toting cats or dogs, even a macaw, normal patients.

 Nonetheless, I was suprised when I spotted a trailer pull up to the stable-part, and I was called out to meet them. They had brought their new mare, and she needed her shots. I jumped at the chance; horses had always been what I looked forward most to treating. There was something calming about them, something soothing. I always enjoyed it.

But when they let the ramp drop and led the mare out, my opinion changed.
From a glance, she was stunning; large, muscular, not to mention stunning. She strained on the lead, ignoring the pressure on her face, though they managed to tie her up.

There was something about her, though. Something predatory. Something... wild.

I didn't want to meet her eyes, but she swiveled her head to calmly follow me wherever I went, as if she could see right through me. When I did gaze into her piercing orbs, it took all of my willpower not to tear my eyes away. I settled for flinching, and the mare threw her head higher-as if she was pleased that she had managed to intimidate me.

I noted how my partner and the family eagerly bustled around her and spoke excitedly; they were oblivious to her feral nature. A little girl stood near her chest, and the mare opened her maw, flashing pearly, sharper-than-normal teeth. She snapped at the girls back, and I knew she was testing me. A few more inches and she could bite down, causing a fatal injury easily.

It became unbearable for me to watch. While all others were oblivious, I was the only one to see through her disguise. Trembling, I made an excuse to fetch something, leaving the mare to my partner.

As I walked back to the clinic, I could feel her eyes boring into my back, her wild gaze raking through me the whole way.

first encounter;

Is it so unfair that the world would keep spinning, even as millions of it's inhabitants go through extreme circumstances each day? What would happen if the world would slow down, or give one last fast spin for someone who is in pain? In a way, the world does these things like this already, but on a smaller scale. Summer is remembered in my home as a bitter season. The sun bakes everything into an unrecognizable state, blowing forgiving and cool air across the lake. All of the horses in the barn were gone. The oldest had just left the earth to rejoin his stable mates.
The sound of passing cars was something the inhabitants of this small town were used to. the steady white noise was almost a reminder for them of a sort. Maybe it was a reminder that they weren't completely secluded, left to fend for themselves against the heat. It was long past foaling season, and the neighbors who still owned horses had small foals who were just a couple months old. It was uncommon for foals to be less than a month old by august. In a town that depended on good show horses, we desperately clinged to the hope that each new foal was going to be the one to make us rich.
Every morning there were fishermen lined up around the lake, but when I begrudgingly trudged down the trail to the beach that morning, there weren't as many as there normally was. I turned my head against the wind with some difficulty, and saw something gold glinting in the sunlight near the water. I knew right away it was a horse, but a horse that well groomed was rare in a town as muddy as this one. I skipped down the hill, breaking into a sprint when I reached the water. The horse lifted it's head, the sun glinting off the water and striking my eyes painfully. Keeping my eyes on the horse, I slowed down to a stealthy walk. The horse was smaller than a quarter horse, and less muscled than one too. The slope of it's back was graceful and where hip turned into leg was smooth and well proportioned.
Reaching out, I crept forward, and the horse kept constant vigilance. Just when I was about to stop and try to bribe the horse closer, it spun on it's back hooves and bolted towards the safety of the thickly planted trees, tucking his rump for speed.
That was the first time I saw Adalwulf, but it wasn't the last. He is what the world gave me when my town was suffering.
