Hazard Cat [Orphan] Litter #11 [Winners!]

Postby HannahBug » Sat Jun 20, 2015 11:10 am

These sparks were found wandering around with no parents in sight!
Maybe some other hazards can help?
To win these guys, you have to write a story about your hazard(s) finding and deciding what to do with them OwO
If you don't own any hazards, you're welcome to use a different character of yours or make something totally up
It doesn't have to be long. We'll saaaay...a paragraph at bare minimum...?
Users can try out for just one or all three of these.
Whether they're kept together or separated is up to you. I don't really mind either way < w >
They're loosely based around horse patterns
They're going to be an exception to the nursery rules and can be grown one month from the end of the competition.

Prettying up: yes. Extras: sure --- Ending June 27th

Name: Leraorë
Nicknames: Lea, Ler, Lera, Liar (she'll pound you if she hears you use the last one)
Gender: Female
Personality: Leraorë is very confidant and independent. She's very grown up for a spark. However, she can be very clingy when she's tired or upset. Leraorë has not yet learned the meaning of sharing, because her guardians are not very suited for the job of 'father'. She also tends to tells white lies a lot, usually to cover up her lack of real family. Leraorë is very stubborn, refusing to let anything she wants get away from her or any project to go unfinished.
Story:
Loke walked, head down, through the deserted city streets. The steetlights reflected in the puddles of water from the recent storm. Turning down an alleyway, he noticed a box. Wondering if there was food in it, Loke padded up to it and peeked inside. There were two sparks inside of if, but he could tell there was a third until recently. His heat-controlling power told him that he or she had walked away or had been taken within 15 minutes. The place where he or she had been sleeping was still warm. Loke looked at the two left. He couldn't take both, but he wanted to help at least one. He took the one with the yellow mane. He had always liked the color yellow. Using his power, hoping it wouldn't backfire, he wrapped a sheet of warm air around the remaining spark.

She loves to run, which isn’t always the best idea for her. She dislikes obeying people, but can and will if needed (or forced).
Story: [How they were found by whoever's going to raise them] (I don’t have a Hazard Cat but let’s pretend I do OK)
Esperanza wasn’t a troublesome cat. She just wanted everything to be perfect so the stress of the world could disappear. She wasn’t perfect, herself. She was very hot-headed and stubborn. You’d think she’d notice, but alas, she didn’t.

She was strolling an alley one evening, when the soft twittering of birds caught her ear. Birds? Here? What a lovely thought! She prowled on, purring, when it got louder. Birds were lovely, but why were they here? In an alley? She looked ahead, and noticed a faint glow.

Esperanza raced towards it, skittering as she did so. Something was there, and it needed her help! She had to protect the poor creature. What she wasn’t expecting was three of those creatures. She stopped, gaping, at the tiny little sparks. One had a screen that shone blue, along with a face that looked to be split in half.

Was it… singing? She leant closer to hear the birds singing, and gasped. The spark had a sound grate!* She looked around, noting the two others. She didn’t feel as if those were in danger, however. This one, right in front of her, though, was.

She gingerly picked it up, looking around to see if anyone was near or watching. Seeing no-one, she raced back, away from the siblings of the spark. At least she had given one a home.

*I believe that 2 has a grate, but feel free to ignore that part of the story if I'm wrong.

    Piper padded across the large field, the grass swaying around her small paws. The length of the clearing was another marker of how far she had made it since she left her litter. She'd missed them for the first few days, but she had numbed. Her family was fine. This must have been how her mother had felt when she left. Of course, she wouldn't know if her kits would be fine, just like Piper didn't know if her siblings would be. Piper stumbled as she realized she was at the end of the field. She had almost ran into a tree! Piper turned and pushed through the thick plant life, noticing quickly that there was only a small stretch of forest before it opened up into another clearing, this one with a small cave. She crouched down and walked through the entrance of the cave, squeezing her body so she could get through easier. Piper looked ahead and saw blackness. In a moment, her eyes adjusted and she tumbled out of the tunnel into an opening, stopping when she slammed into a fuzzy figure. She shook herself and looked up. A light blue cat stood above her, his eyes wide. "Who're you?" He mewed. She replied with a simple: "None of your business." She calmed when she realized the cat was almost as small as her: of course, Piper was very large for her age, and this cat looked to be as if he was small. Piper glared at him, and he started laughing; much to her surprise. "I'm Sorrin." He stated calmly. "I come here to think, you?" Piper snorted. "No, I'm new here. I ran away from my family." Sorrin blinked. "What? Why?" Piper shrugged. "I didn't like them. Wanted some privacy, I guess. They were only siblings." The blue tom sighed wistfully. "I have a brother," he murmured. "I left him behind. I shouldn't have. You'll probably... regret what you did... enjoy your freedom." He paused. "Oh, sorry! I didn't mean it that way!" Piper looked away for a moment. "It's fine. Oh, by the way, I'm Piper. Are you a traveler?" She added. The cat nodded. "I'm headed that direction. This is my last visit to this cave before I leave." He stopped. "Hey, Piper?" He mewed softly. "Yeah?" She answered bluntly. "Stick with me and we'll go far. Literally." Piper perked up and smiled. "Sure."

Story:

Pekoe took her morning walks as usual to get her up and going. Though this time it was anything but normal for her. Her day went a bit bad when it started to rain rather heavily and she trekked through mud that ruined her fur. Despite this she kept her head held high and was determined to finish her daily walk rather than turn back. The storm got worse and she had begun to wish she stayed inside. Still, she persevered through and ended up finding one particular kitten that got her eye. It had mewed loudly and crept out of the drenched and beaten up box. She assumed it had been thrown out here due to people living in the city. She had protected all three till the storm eased up and found that she herself had a strong liking for the brown spotted one. She cleaned up them up and played with the one she liked.

I chose this name
because you said that
these sparks were
kind of inspired by horses,
and I though I wanted to name
one after a famous racehorse,
and I know very few race horses,
so I thought of the name Secretariat.
Gεղძεɾ
Secretariat is male, like
the horse he was named after.
He's the only boy of the bunch.
Pҽɾʂσɳαʅιƚყ
Protective||
Secretariat is very protective
of his sisters, and wants them
to be safe and happy. He will
protect anyone he loves.
Reckless||
Secretariat doesn't always
think things through when
he does them. He's not
much of a thinker but a
doer.
Loyal||
Secretariat is loyal to the
end, and would do anything
for his family.
Brave||
Secretariat is a very brave
soul, who laughs in the
face of (Most) danger.
He's the bravest one
in his family.
Adventurous||
Secretariat loves adventure

As before, this name
came from the fact you

Falabella is female,

Timid-Brave||
You know that thing

where they hide behind

does this all the time.
Trusting||
Falabella trusts everyone,
and cannot see how everyone
could be a bad guy. She
will trust, even when her
siblings say no. This has
gotten her into trouble.
Naive||
Falabella, being the
smallest one in their
litter, is protected a
lot by her siblings. This
has led her to not know
all of the things of the

things.
Creative||
Falabella has a lot

them. She's a very
creative little child.
Imaginative||
Falabella has a huge

I chose this one because
you said horses, and I

seems like a little Morgan

she's younger than
Secretariat by a few minutes.
Pҽɾʂσɳαʅιƚყ
Fussy||
Morgan is extremely
fussy, as she likes

Drama Queen||
Morgan is a huge

things don't go her

Never distracted, Morgan

The Story wrote:The Story
Morgan was sick and tired of the mud. It was always mud, everywhere they went. She didn't want to have to stay dirty, one day, she wanted to be clean. What made it even worse was that it had just been raining, which made even more mud! Sighing, she woke her siblings from their nap, so that they could move on to find better shelter.

Secretariat woke with a start, surprised to be awake so suddenly. Then, he saw his sister, who was impatiently waiting to get a move on. Little Fallabella, or Bella as he liked to call her, was still fast asleep. Morgan looked at him and shrugged, indicating that her attempts had been unsuccessful. She'd never been able to wake Bella very well anyways. So, Secretariat shook his sister awake.

Falabella awoke last, squeaking. She was in the middle of a pleasant dream about having a family, and a mom, and a dad, as well as a home. There were also rainbow unicorns, and she could fly! It was great, but she had to face this world of running. Shaking the mud off of her, she jumped up and grinned at her siblings. "Where to?" She asked cheerfully.

"Well, I suppose we could go to that bush over there and see what we can see," Morgan said dubiously. Secretariat shrugged, and ran off towards the bush, with Falabella right on his heels, and Morgan going last. None of them expected to find anything, but it never hurt to check. Of course, none of them expected to see a cottage in the distance.

"A Cottage! Perhaps they have a bath there," Morgan suggested, excited. "Yeah, let's go!" Secretariat exclaimed, ready and raring to go. Poor little Fallabella was trying her best, but she couldn't see a thing. "I Can't See!" she cried. "Here you go!" Secretariat said, pulling Falabella onto his back, where she saw the cottage. "Yay! Can we go?" she asked happily.

"Sure!" said her older siblings, and the three of them raced to the cottage, excited. Unfortunatly for them, at least at first, they ran into a large cat, who most definitely not a Hazard cat. It was male, and bright green, but otherwise looked normal. Morgan froze, than squeaked, retreating. Secretariat, who by now had let little Bella onto the ground. "Hello,little kittens," Said the cat, surprised. "What are you doing here?" "We were going to the cottage for shelter!" Squeaked Falabella, hiding behind Secretariat's leg.

"Were you?" wondered the cat, looking down at them. "Yeah! And we're not kittens, we're sparks!" Secretariat proclaimed loudly, straightening up. Falabella grinned at her brother, while Morgan watched interestedly. "Do you have a family?" The cat inquired. "A mother perhaps, or an aunt?" Falabella shook her head, and looked inside. "Nope, just us three. Can we go inside?"

"Of course," the cat said. "And before I forget, my name is Gummi Bear. What's your names?" "I'm Morgan, that's my brother Secretariat and my sister Falabella," Said Morgan, speaking for the first time. "Gummi Bear, huh. Interesting name." "Thank you," responded Gummi Bear. "Come on in!"

Inside, it was much larger than it looked like on the outside. There were many halls, and they were lost. So, they followed Gummi Bear to wherever he was going. He walked down the largest hall, a cold, drafty hall lined with candles, which led through a large room with a dark witch cat, brewing storm clouds in her cauldron, than to a large, cozy, was it a bedroom? with another cat, a bright purple tortoiseshell, and five little kittens, about their age.

"Hi Sweetie!" Called the cat. "Who are these?They're definitely not normal cats." "These are Morgan, Secretariat, and Falabella. Morgan, Secretariat, and Falabella, meet my family, Jellybean, and my five kittens, Licorice, Starburst, Lollipop, Skittles, and Kit-Kat." Falabella waved, and started playing with the kittens, while Morgan and Secretariat nodded at Jellybean. "They don't have any parents," Gummi Bear told Jellybean, concerned. "Well, there's only one thing for it," She said, and turned to the three sparks. "Would you like to be part of our family?" Falabella grinned, and cried, "YES!" Morgan and Secretariat looked at each other, had a quick silent conversation, and nodded. "We'd love to!" And that's how three sparks became the children to two candy colored cats.

The End!

About Their Adoptive Family wrote:Meet the Family!

Their new Family, a picture of who can be found here, consists of two new parents, and five new siblings. Their parents are Jellybean and Gummi Bear, and their siblings are Licorice, Starburst, Lollipop, Skittles, and Kit-Kat. Here's a little bit on them.

Jellybean||Female||Mom
Jellybean, a bright purple tortoiseshell, is apprentice to a witch. She's not bad, but very excited, and generally on a sugar high. She's friendly, and loves to play, with her kittens, her husband, and with her spark children too. She's able to do some small magic, generally relating to candy, and also a few sky based spells. She's also quite caring, and pays a lot of attention to things.

Gummi Bear||Male||Dad
Gummi Bear is Jellybean's husband, and is a great dad. He's got a lot of ideas, and is good with making things with his paws, so he makes a lot of toys for his kids, adopted and biological. He's not an apprentice like Jellybean is, he just lives with her with the witch. He's a bit larger than one expects, and at first can be a bit intimidating, but is quite nice, unlike what one would expect.

Licorice||Male||Brother
Licorice is the kitten most likely to become a magic user, like his mom. He studies all of the books he can, and often watches his mom in lessons. He's very nerdy, and doesn't like playing with the other kittens. He's fascinated by the sparks, and even though they are his adopted siblings, he will often study them from the distance.

Starburst||Male||Brother
Starburst is a friendly little kitten. He, like Falabella, is the smallest of his family, and is very imaginative. The two of them play in their own worlds together, being anything they want. However, they don't always agree on what they want to be, and argue a bit. Morgan or Kit-Kat have to intervene then.

Lollipop||Female||Sister
Lollipop, though she seems like the most whimsical, is actually the most analytical. She's able to see all the variables, and find the way to solve problems. She's the best at solving problems, like what to do when the mixer breaks, though she's not the best with people and their problems.

Skittles||Female||Sister
Skittles is the most hyper of all the kittens, tearing around the place as fast as she can, and playing in races. She speaks really really fast, and consumes a lot of sugar, and other energy producing food, since she uses so much energy. She and Secretariat hang out a lot, and they race together.

Kit Kat||Female||Sister
Kit Kat's the peace keeper of the family, along with Morgan. She's quiet and calm, and likes things clean. She doesn't speak much, but talks to Morgan the most. They both agree that things need to be clean, and organized, though they differ on how that should be. They never argue though.

Not sure if I can try out for one, as I'm a COPPA, but I can try!

Name:
Daphne
Gender:
female
Personality:
Daphne is shy and skittish, but at the same time strong willed and stubborn. When she gets and idea in her head, she will do anything to make it come true; and that determination often overrides her scared nature. She is always quiet however, and rarely makes any noise, often answering questions with a gesture rather that her own words. And if she does talk she will speak in a very quiet voice.
When it comes to her trust, Daphne can be very suspicious, while she might seem to be trusting, she is actually watching everyone's actions and trying to decide if they would hurt her.
