His name is Quillan and he grows a Chinese Lantern.
His role in the hierarchy is as a fool/jester, though he's often in the town instead, playing with the children and helping out the commoners. Contrary to his job, Quillan is actually quite intelligent. He's also soft-hearted and a pushover.
