Cascavel grew up as the product of a broken home. It was pretty textbook stuff, drunken father and an unfaithful mother who could care less what trouble her son was getting himself into. From his first day of preschool, to his parents there was no difference between the days he brought home top grades or failing, so why would there be a reason to reach for success when without brilliance you would be treated no less?

His teenage years were no kinder, and he quickly became "that kid," the one no one wished to know, especially teachers. After 13 years of putting up with his mother, he let go of the last bit of love he had for her, walking out. He moved into a fellow low-life's apartment, landing himself in trouble with the law one too many times.

After a two-year sentence in a detention center for theft, Casca walked out of the slammer and into the streets 18 years old with little future in sight. Whatever is a boy to do?

Physically, Cascavel carries a few curses. After chipping both of his upper front teeth and splitting his tongue nearly in half in a fight, he acquired a heavy lisp, preventing him from making sounds anywhere near the "s" variety. Tall and lanky, the definition of "bark but no bite," he has a permanent hunch from exerting himself past his limits.

Mentally, he is no more sane than a jar of peanuts. After struggling with addictions of every variety, he has developed a fear of loosing-- items and "games" alike. On a "twitchy day" he's known to be the most contradictive plume ever met, "forgetting" his entire attitude and taking another one within seconds.

Shrek is a... quite loud Plume. He loves to live in peace and quiet, but never really knows how to keep his voice down. He hates being around other plumies and never really cares if he's alone. Even when he is alone, his temper can still keep his anger level can still leave him on-edge.
He doesn't enjoy spending his time around others, and would spend even the worst days alone. Never will he ever enjoy being around another Plumerian.
Even with his short temper and strange behavior, he can still have a sweet spot. Only on the most amazing days he will smile at a Plume. If the other Plumerian is persistent enough, Shrek's awful, angry layer will shed to a much lovelier personality.
