Reason: The unusual serandite often comes in a beautiful salmon pink, or a vibrant rose red, both colors which attract Valdís. The stone is believed to promote harmonious energy, and/or helpful in making good first impressions. Being a social mare, she adores the idea of carrying one of these around and befriending everyone she meets. Not only that, but doesn't it just accent her coat beautifully?

Reason: Esmeralda was once a young show filly. Beautiful and well tempered, she was extremely sought after and typically proudly displayed by her masters. They thought to make her an exceptional, custom made halter, and what better to contrast her striking coat than gorgeous emeralds embellished into it. She adores the halter still to this day, although it no longer fits her, it is kept polished and hung in her stall. The emeralds never fails to amaze her, and remind her of her youth.

Reason: While Marygold may have been raised into gold she has always had a love for the Onyx gemstone. It isn't the prettiest, or most striking, but that's what she loves about it. It doesn't have to hide the fact that it isn't beautiful, its not afraid. No she doesn't think its living, but in a way she aspires to be like the Onyx.

Ellena loves the vivid, beautiful stripes of agate, particularly the banded ones. She is fascinated by their brilliant weaves and curves, and can spend hours just nosing around a series of agate pebbles looking for the prettiest and most outstanding design - or, if she's lucky, a wide stretch of it across a big rock. That could get her standing and staring in admiration for a while. There are those who have said that her uniquely colored quipping is alike to the multi-colored tiers that characterise agate; but Ellena herself doesn't hold that view strongly. She simply enjoys the varied hues and designs offered by the gemstone.

Though to Fiona, it is the most beautiful by far. It reminds her of the spring grass and the trees when their leaves just begin to bud. It reminds her of the tiny fish that swim in the shallow creek near her home, and its in the mountain sunrises that she loves to watch. To Fiona, Prehnite isn't just a pretty gem. Prehnite is everywhere.

Around those she dislikes, she is arrogant and dramatic, and can play up even the most minor of situations.
