The sunset gently, it's bright, glowing light illuminating a figure on the horizon. The figure flicked it's tail, waiting for the night to begin, so the adventures could start, and the mysteries could unfold. With a slight flick of the ears, he dashed passed a few glowing tulips, and into the starry forest, ready for an adventure.
Stopping at a river, he jumped into the cold, welcoming water with ease, gracefully swimming his way upstream. He occasionally did twirls and flips underwater to help him relax, as tonight, he and his friend were going to do something no one had done before. He was going to explore the most legendary cave of all- the cave of exila.
When the river stopped flowing and hit a barrier, the figure jumped out and shook his scales. Running across the landscape, he saw his friend waiting by the cave entrance. With a happy hop, he sped up to meet with his buddy. "I see your here early." He said to his friend.
"Toothless, you know I live nearby. It's harder for you than for me to get here."
"Sarah, stop bragging!"
With an exaggerated sigh, Sarah ran into the cave and beckoned for toothless to follow. Toothless rolled his eyes and jumped in after her. "What are we even going to do in here?" He asked as they went deeper and deeper into the cave. "Isn't it obvious, mush-brain? Were expl-"
With a shuddering gasp, Sarah fell into rapidly flowing river. Her flails and screams were drowned out by the water, and the was no light to illuminate the path. "No!" Toothless screamed as she was swept away by the river. Running alongside it, he tried to track Sarah; but it was no use. She could not be seen. "Oh... No! No, Sarah!" Toothless screamed. Taking a deep breath, he plunged into the river and swam along, trying not to get swept away by the current. He saw a glowing light at the end, and taking a dare, he pushed forward and dunked his head underwater.
He noticed a figure not too far in front of him, limp and helpless. Toothless swam foward and trapped the limp body, almost at once noticing it was Sarah. He had no time to think before the current swept him another way. Dropping Sarah onto the side of the stream where she could recover, he was swept away downstream, never too be seen again by Sarah or his family.

Toothless had decided, after escaping the cave, to start a new life. He knew he would never see anyone he knew ever again, as the river carried him across the world to a new forest with new creatures. He settled down into an Orchid with a strange creature he calls "Reg", a small, red creature that looks like a kit sine and a bat mixed together. It's his best friend and only family. He missed Sarah and his mom and dad, and occasionally tried to return. But it seemed that they were to far away to be reached. Reg and Him now live together in peace and an occasional explosion from Reg trying to cook dinner.
