What's his New Year's resolution? Rocket is surprisingly terrified of Firecracker's and other loud noises despite his name and being quite fond of ringing in the New Year. Rocket's New Year's resolution is to find another Pintaloosa Ranger who can help him get over his fear of loud noises. He wants to be able to celebrate the big holiday's and events with fireworks, instead of hide from them and watch from a distance. He also wants to make new friends and hopes that those who help him get over his fear will stay by his side as friends for a long time.

Meaning: A phenomenon of a white dwarf star experiencing a nuclear explosion and suddenly becoming brighter, much like hope at the time of the New Year and celebratory fireworks.
Background: Nova was born precisely on New Years Day and so it is him they look toward to bring in the new year. He bears it well, but not all are pleased with this way of doing things and are bitter for never having their own turn in the spotlight for this annual event. He is a military horse and is well looked after, though he is sometimes snubbed by horses who go years without recognition while he gets undeserved glory and a leadership role. He understands their frustration but feels he didn't ask for the spotlight and so takes his duties seriously. He's tired of the lack of respect and knows he needs to find a way to earn it.
Annoyance: Being called 'New Years Baby' by a couple others that don't like him.
What's his New Year's resolution? Bearing his duty honorably while also working on a more fair way to share the role of bringing in the New Year. He also wants to train more for driving, to have a task he feels confident in that requires actual skill and dedication rather than a special birthday.
