Name:Orlok Sievers
Why Did You Choose That Name? His name is a combination of the names of two characters that starred in one of the most popular silent movies of all time, "
Nosferatu." The film is a German horror picture made in 1922.
Wikipedia wrote:The film, shot in 1921 and released in 1922, was an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, with names and other details changed because the studio could not obtain the rights to the novel (for instance, "vampire" became "Nosferatu" and "Count Dracula" became "Count Orlok"). Stoker's heirs sued over the adaptation, and a court ruling ordered that all copies of the film be destroyed. However, one print of Nosferatu survived, and the film came to be regarded as an influential masterpiece of cinema. As of 2014 it is Rotten Tomatoes second best-reviewed horror film of all time.

How Does This Voxxie Respond to Being Mute?Orlok writes in braille to communicate, as he's been mute and blind for his entire life. He learned how to write in braille from his best friend,
Linnaeus, as his parents were both speaking and didn't need to know how to write to communicate. They were utterly baffled when they tried to communicate with Orlok and found that he couldn't speak back to them! Muteness didn't run in their family at all before Orlok was born, and his parents honestly were a little confused as to why Orlok was mute when no one else in their family was. They didn't know what to do, so they asked his father's friend Lunnaeus for help, who graciously offered his services to the young Voxxie.
It may take him longer to communicate with you because he has to write, but he doesn't mind this much, as he gets a longer chance to observe his environment. Orlok generally doesn't push his opinions on others, as he prefers to sense others opinions first. He doesn't write without thinking through what he wants to say very carefully. He doesn't mince words and he tends to be very careful about how he says certain things, as he doesn't want to offend anyone, even indirectly.
Orlok has excellent hearing due to two of his other senses not working properly. Being both blind and mute has its disadvantages, and one of them is not poor hearing. Orlok can hear three times as many things a day as the average Voxxie does. He is very sensitive to sound, and he often has to deal with loud Voxxies who are just talking louder than normal, but to him it sounds like yelling. Simple drips of water falling from the cave ceiling to the floor sound like harsh footsteps, and Orlok sometimes struggles to block these sounds out so that he can sleep at night. Even though this is a pain to deal with, Orlok does have one advantage over other Voxxies - he loves music. He can often be found dancing to the music that plays from the TV in their cave.

Oh, and I actually DO live in a cave, if you're wondering - someone dropped off an old TV in here that somehow still gets a signal. I don't know how, but it does. A different Voxxie in our group hooked it up, and I have no idea how he managed to do that, seeing as he can't see...but he's a genius with small parts and intricate stuff like that, so I guess it makes sense that he'd be the one to fix it. Anyways, we only get BBC, some music channels, and one movie channel, so our choices of entertainment are limited. We watch movies and TV shows differently than those that see, as we can't physically notice anything with our eyes. We rely mainly upon the sound that comes from the TV set. Sometimes we get static, and we know that the youngsters have been playing with the antennae on the top of the television again, so one of us has to climb up on top and tweak them until the static stops. The little ones love the TV just as much as the adults and teens, and we often all watch movies or shows together - it's sort of the one thing we all have in common, and because of that, it draws us closer as a group."

What Significance Does the Bow Tie Have? The bowtie sets him apart from most other Voxxies. Not many Voxxies have accessories, and he's one of the few who actually does have an accessory. His parents gave it to him when he was a baby, as it also a family heirloom. He plans on passing it down to his son later in life, should he have one. If not, then he'll give it to his daughter as a bow to tie around her head. He plans on getting married and then having children, and he wants more than anything to have a family - though not many Voxxies are interested in a mute.
