Kalkaju are miniscule creatures resembling chinchillas that, like amphibians, are able to reside in both aquatic and land environments. A shy but friendly animal, they take to people quite well once they learn to trust them. This species is born with scales along their lower back and across their muzzles. They also have what seem to be a `crown` of floating orbs around their heads and fin-like growths behind their legs to help them swim in deep waters. They consume mostly fruits, nuts, insects and small fish, which they use their long, curled tongues to snap out and catch. Kalkaju are a timid species, however, they will warm up to you quickly and are excellent companions once domesticated.

There will be two separate forms for the individual kalkaju, as if they were each their own individual competition. You may try for one, but not both. And it is not recommended that you pair up with a partner to work on your two forms together; because, as I said, these are separate contests.

Ｎａｍｅ♦ ♦ Maybe its the almost holiday season taking over my head, maybe its the little crumblies on her butt, but the first thing I thought when I saw this beautiful girl is peppermint bark. After that I couldn't get the thought out of my head! And yet, peppermint bark is no name. I wouldn't even consider making that a characters real name. So I've been thinking, and I believe Wynter fits her pretty well. I mean, you think of peppermint bark and you think of winter's snow and christmas and such, but it's also an okay name for when it's not the winter season so she wouldn't be stuck labeled as a "holiday" character.

So her name is Wynter; Kalkajus call her Wyn for short, but her still resemblance to peppermint bark also introduces names such as Pepp, Peppermint, and similar uwu
