You see.. Nitric used to be a.. Well, a regular Pseudo. He laughed alot, as well as smiled. Basically enjoyed what life had to offer, and made the best of each passing day.He had many friends, and his family loved hi dearly. But, that all ended one day, on Halloween Night.
He was out and about with a couple of his friends. They were goofing around, and having a great time. But then, Nitrate (his name at the time) had heard a feint snap coming from the area off to their right. With a twitch of his tail, he caled out for the others to stop for a minute, but they were much too engrossed in their conversation, so, Nitrate had been swiftly forgotten about and left behind. With this new situation, his high level of curiosity took over, and he decided to go and investigate the origin of the sound. With one last look at his three friends, who were now way ahead of him, he puffed out his chest, and dipped into the thick woods.
It was around dush when he had left his group, and now, it was almost midnight. He had been in the woods for about 3 hours, and he was completley lost. Nitrate had a horrible sense of direction, that's why his mother had always made sure he was with his friends, or atleast one other person. So, him sliding into the woods alone was a VERY bad idea. Especially because this would be the last day of his normality.
Trying to keep himself calm, henervously padded through the foilage of fallen leaves and must-filled atmosphere. His slick, black coat had helped him to blend into the shadows, and in the hours of sunlight had attracted the UV rays, but not in the dark, he was cold and damp. Oh, how he wished he hadn't of come in here.. He was going to be lost forever in these woods, and he would die alone in these woods, never to be found. With gritted teth he shook his head in aggravation. He was only making this worse for himself! He had to concentrate, and try to focus on landmarks, to that he could find his way back out of here, but in the dark it was so hard to see anything.
Snap.
His head snapped to the left so quick he almost fell over. He perked his ears and stood his ground, waiting, listening.
Snapsnap.
Padding very carefully towards the sound, he crouched low to the ground, his ears rotating in all different directions, keeping tabs on the sounds that he was following like a trail of cookie crumbs. Finally, he stumbled into an odd-looking clearing that had a somewhat.. Odd aura to it. Ignoring the bad feeling in his gut, he padded on into the center of the field and sat down. Sighing, his head dipped down and he took a short breather, only to feel something hard hitting the back of his head followed by a sputtering laugh, and being enveloped ina sinister darkness.
When he woke up he looked like.. Like a monster! He had no idea what had happened to him, or what made him this way, but now, everywhere he went, he left an icky green residue on the ground from his underbelly, andhe glowed like the skies on the Fourth of July. His hair, as well as his tail had white stripes on it, and there was a skull-and-crossbones marking his right shoulder. He had finally found society, and had been resented, and casted away as a "monster" or as a "demon from Hell". So, he had escaped back into the woods where he would be alone forever. Where he would ooze, and cough, and hack from the radiation that had filled him. And the sorow at had pierced his heart. He was to be alone, forever.
