Melinda is a practical person. She would be the one to take the initiative in conversations. She'd probably try to ask people about music (since that's her field), but also things like family. Melinda 'wears the pants' in hers and Knox's relationship. Knox is the one who's a worrywart about their children and Mel is the one who'll relativize and trust in her children without much worry.
