- This bean is not one to be explained simply. Kanan is complex and requires deep analysis if you wish to know him 100%. And since this is a rare opportunity to go in depth with him, we'll take it. First thing that needs to be understood: Kanan is not bright, happy, and loud. He is not sunshine and rainbows, he is not cookie cutter, and has seen heart ache in his life that has molded him into who he is today. So with that said, lets dive in with his first and most prominent personality trait.
- Kanan is beyond reserved. He is quite and hardly speaks unless spoken too. He is almost afraid to speak to others out of fear that he'll cause something bad to happen to them. But he's only silent around large crowds or groups of others, when he's alone, he speaks to the birds, trees, grass, anything that is willing to listen. But when it comes to other Bean's, Kanan just shuts down because of his history. He could lay in the tall grass of the field for hours upon hours and sing to the wind. But he is mute when in the presence of other. Saying that he is shy is an understatement. But there is more than being reserved to him, Kanan, as he has grown, has lost a lot of his sense of patience. Due to his growing frustration with himself, he can get a little irritated at boisterous personalities, as he prefers an air of calmness. Kanan is not one to let himself off the hook for things he's messed up, especially in the past. He is one to blame himself quite harshly. This might be because of his selflessness. He always feels as if he could do more for others, in some shape form or fashion to try and help them. His willingness to give up things for loved ones is remarkable. At the drop of a hat he would give up things for others, all that matters in life is that those who are in it are as happy as can be. His happiness does not matter, everyone else's happiness comes before him, and that is really something I admire about Kanan. His selflessness is over the moon, but the hate he has for himself is disheartening.
It may take some persistence to get through to him, but once you are there, I promise you it will be worth it.
