Bonnie Bunny
Gender ;;
Male
Personality ;;
Bonnie is a more quiet and recluse fellow when talking with his fellow band members as well as Foxy. However at night he's much more aggressive. Bonnie is known for working well with Chica at the night hours, favoring the leader Freddy during the day. Bonnie isn't an easy man to frustrate, though he does tend to get envious or upset easily. Typically when others pay more attention to one member of the band than anyone else, Bonnie gets a bit jealous of them. Bonnie likes to think things through, and when talking with others he generally doesn't speak very much so he has more time to think. He's still a child at heart, and possesses a bit of naïvety when it comes to some things. He's a more intellectual guy than his band members, and has a very prominent curiosity about him. Bonnie is a friendly, timid and overall caring individual- though if you catch him after midnight he might come off a bit more irritable.
How Were They Involved In The FNAF Team? How Did It Start? ;;
Back when they were normal, the four were friends. Bonnie, Freddy, Chica and Foxy were all, at one time, normal fawns. Not clunky animatronics, and certainly not amusement attractions for young children their own age. The four were a bunch of childhood friends, and every day they'd hang out together at the local playground. At that time they had normal names too, human names- but it's been so long that they've been tattered and forgotten over the expansive stretch of time.
The time came when a birthday rolled around, believe it or not it was Freddy's. The campaign of children, all four, were attending his party at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria when everything turned for worse. The party was fantastic until a man in a Freddy Fazbear costume lured the four into the back room, and they were never seen or heard from again.
From here I'll let Bonnie tell you what occurred.
When I came too, I couldn't move. My body was stiff, and for awhile I couldn't feel anything at all. Even my emotions were dull and lackluster, and it took me a moment before I realized my situation. A light flared on suddenly, illuminating the stage where I saw beside me two animatronic deer, who I recognized to be the Freddy and Chica mascots! I tried to smile, but my face was a stiff and sore as the rest of me. I couldn't deduce why I was standing on this stage, but the crowd before us demanded a song and glancing down into my hands I saw that I held in my hooves a guitar.
The two beside me began to sing, and as if automated or programmed to do so, I strummed my guitar and sang along. The songs were familiar, as I'd known them by heart. The ones sung by the mascots at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. It was a long day before the restaurant closed down, the people started leaving in pairs or small groups as the lights seemed to dim until they were out completely. A single man entered the building, walking past the stage calmly and dismissing the lot of us with a casual wave and a thin smile. He headed to a room I didn't know, and soon we were alone.
It took a moment for me to realize that now I could move freely. For some reason my arms and legs were heavy, though I was able to move and walk about. I cheerfully walked off the stage, realizing that now I was free to smile as I pleased. I watched with wonder as the other two mascots walked down from the stage as well and gathered before me, all of us seemed equally clueless as to what was happening.
"Chica? Bonnie?" Freddy spoke up first, his voice sounded somehow familiar but also foreign.
"I'm not Bonnie! My name is... Is..." I struggled to recall the word that'd defined me my entire life. But it seemed the only name I had now was Bonnie, so with a nod I accepted the term and gave Freddy a calm smile. "Do you know where we are?"
"Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria of course." Chica piped up, seeming rather pleasant and chipper compared to the rest. "What I don't know is what we're doing here."
There was a long pause, but between them the kids deduced that they had been somehow misplaced and we felt that we were somehow connected, though we didn't know how or why we felt that way. After all none of us seemed to have any apparent memories.
They all turned when the heard a rather rapid clutter of hooves on the floor, and were promptly greeted with the face of Foxy the Pirate Deer! They felt a bond with him as well, and invited him to join the circle of talking mascots.
~
It all started with the Bite of '87. Foxy made a mistake, it wasn't his fault. They condemned his exhibit, started calling us 'reanimated corpses' and refusing to come see us. Children started straying away from our stage, and soon enough we were struggling to attract any attention at all. The restaurant became empty and desolate, leaving us animatronics more time for ourselves.
At first we didn't know what we'd do other than sing and engage in midnight small talk, but with the extra time we found we had more time to play with one another. We were quite large for any of the children's exhibits, but Chica started up cooking- or at least attempting to- in the vacant kitchen. Freddy practiced a lot more on his lonesome, making up new songs and inventing clever verses and moves. Foxy spent more time condemned to his exhibit. He never did stop blaming himself for the incident, and he was depressed for a good long while before he'd come out and play with us.
The single man who came in at midnight was the only consistent factor in our lives. He always came in at around 12 AM and left at exactly 6 AM. We wondered where he went, or why he stuck around, but never asked. Later on we got down to talking about the strange man...
"Who do you suppose he is?" Asked Chica, head tilted slightly right. She was holding a plate of pizza in her hooves. With all the time she'd had on her hooves, she'd become rather crafty and had mastered a lot of cooking techniques. By now we were all used to our clunky movements and slightly robotic voices, and they didn't bother us much anymore.
"No idea." Shrugged Freddy, "He only comes by at night and he's always in that little room, how would we know?"
"Maybe," Foxy suggested, a smirk lacing his lips. "We should go pay 'im a visit!"
"Yeah!" I piped up suddenly, so much so that it caught the others off guard. "And when we meet him- we can finally ask what's going on!"
There was a nodding of heads all around, and we decided that later that night we'd go visit this man we later came to know as 'The Guard'.
~
As time went on, this routine became regular. We had lots of fun together, and despite The Guard constantly keeping us out, we kept persisting. We decided that if he was so defensive of his secrets, the truth must be very important.
My role originally was a guitarist and singer, though later all our musical positions began to mean less and less. We knew each other as friends more than anything else, and together we were determined to find the truth about ourselves.
No matter what the cost.
Relationships With FNAF Crew ;;
Freddy
During the daylight hours Bonnie enjoys the company of a leader. It's nice to have someone to take charge from time to time, and while Bonnie has the brains and brawn what he lacks is the courage. He's always been drawn to Freddy by his timid nature, admiring Freddy's bolder persona. He also enjoys Freddy's company because the deer is another of the smarter members of the cast and generally poses some good points. Freddy and Bonnie talk a bit more often than the other deer, and Bonnie enjoys his presence a good deal.
Chica
Durring the night Bonnie and Chica generally spend more time together. Freddy is often on the stage or gone, and while Bonnie loves all of his friends Chica is the one who spends the most time with him during his 'working' hours. The two have similar methods of sneaking up on The Guard in hopes to bypass the doors. Chica is a strikingly good cook, and she'll typically organize nighttime meetings in the kitchen where the camera is out so they can meet in silence. While Chica may be a bit more daft than any of the other cast, Bonnie still adores her ditzy and silly personality.
Foxy
Bonnie and Foxy get along fine, though the pirate deer is often doing other things in place of talking to the main cast. He spends a lot of time in his exhibit, so the others don't see too much of him. Bonnie appreciates his sense of adventure and innocent fun loving side, though he knows Foxy can get a bit scary at times. He's good friends with the pirate deer of course, but he knows that sometimes he has to be careful around him. Bonnie is also somewhat jealous of Foxy, as people pay much more attention to him than any other member of the cast.
Robotic ;;
For awhile it was incredibly difficult for Bonnie to move freely. His movements are always jerky and somewhat stiff, though after many years of living the way he is he's gotten used to it and even smoothed out some of his movements. He's gotten more accustomed to moving, though his weight makes it impossible for him to jump very high. He generally stays on ground level, clunking along the floorboards.
Animatronic History ;;
The animatronic suit deemed Bonnie the Bunny existed long before a consciousness was injected into it. The mascot itself was designed to be a member of Freddy Fazbear's onstage band, filling the roll of guitarist. Bonnie was inserted with the main cast at the opening of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria along with the main cast, while Foxy was introduced to the crew later on.
