What are White-Tailed Bloombacks?

White-Tailed Bloombacks are deer-like creatures with large, living flowers on their backs. They are elusive, shy creatures, only recently discovered in ancient forests. They are tiny, only 16 in (40 cm) high and 28 in (70 cm) from nose to tail. Although Bloombacks evade humans, once you earn their trust they will be eternally loyal.

A pair of ears, pricked and swiveled,
Emerged the creature, as the stars twinkled.

A night of music, the human played,
A flute of silver, another hand raised.
The human came closer, her figure stiff,
A fruit in her hand; a kind gift.

The creature came closer, took a bite,
The human smiling in the night.
They bonded instantly, became good friends,
Knowing well they would meet again.
