Ancestry


----Many centuries into the past, a countrywide drought had sucked up all of the life that had once
been the home of a strong and mighty people. Controversy began to pull the people apart, and
they fought over whether or not they should leave their home and set their sights on destinations
unknown, or stay and pray to their god that the thing their very lives hung on would be returned.
----In result, they were driven apart into two. Once divided, they dubbed themselves the Tribe of Home,
and the Tribe of Life.
----Now half of what they were, the Tribe of Life left their land and their home behind. It was a very
long and grievous journey, and the absence of water made it worse. Many died on the way, and some
even began to doubt that it was a good idea to aimlessly wander and hope to stumble upon a new
home in their migration. But they couldn't divide again, for this was the most crucial time to be united.
The trip home would be greater than just staying, and it would be even more deathly than before,
because the water had almost gone by then. And so, they had to press on. For fifty nights and
fifty days, they journeyed and suffered through the dry and torturous planes.
----On the last morning, the travelling tribe saw the sunlight illuminate a wet paradise. Water clung
to every surface, and the wildlife was all kinds of beautiful. They rejoiced. Finally, they had found
their home.
----Their new home of life.


Personal History



----In my youth, my life had been full of confusion and yearning. This is because my people had
discovered other religions that had been brought to them by foreigners that joined us. Everyone
was pressured to join a religion, and your family would turn their backs on you and disown you
if you didn't choose the beliefs that they had.
----It was like a war. We were once very peaceful, so this new violent tone that ensnared us was
many things. It was surprising, new, different... and most of all, scary. I was afraid.
----I was feeling lost. I needed to go to a quiet place. To pray, of course. Before this whole religion
thing started, everybody just had their own beliefs with no labels at all. I knew god was real.
Everything else... I was confused about.
----I went to the trees of silver, where anybody could feel at peace. The moment I set foot inside,
I felt an overwhelming peace take over. Goosebumps raised up on my arms. There was no way this
place would help, but just being here would at least calm my nerves and clear my head. I sat
down and closed my eyes, allowing my arms to dangle limply at my sides.
----What happened next was unbelievable. I can barely put it into words!
----...God revealed themself to me. And her name was Eywa. She spoke to me, and told me to
believe in none of the other religions out there-for the true one didn't exist yet. She told me that
I was the one that had to spread Her truth, and it wouldn't be easy. I didn't understand this part at
the time, because I was only a teenager then.
----Unfortunately, She couldn't help me. And how I wish She could have. Everybody I
knew and respected were disgusted by my beliefs and my attempts at spreading it, including my family.
Itwas even more scary than I had even begun with. Because of this, I was only able to convert a shabby
five people. Soon enough, I was chased out of my home. Bitter that everyone had turned
on me, I had no choice but to begin a journey of my own to home.

Overview

----Tendai never really seemed to like authority figures. It may be because she questions most
everything, even those few that she admires. She likes to believe that she has more authority than anyone.
She gets pretty bossy at times, though....
----But does she lead well? You bet! Tendai is always serious and likes to get
down to the point. She pays attention to those who follow her (even if she's faking it most of the time),
because where would she be without popularity? It would be difficult to preach when no one is willing
to listen to you. She puts forth effort to appear calm and cool, but on the inside, she's stressing out.
----Because of that faithful encounter with who she believes to be Eywa, she quite often thinks
ill of others that don't listen to her words and heed them. There are countless numbers of plumerians
that she's dubbed 'lost sheep', and goes on long sermons about how she tries to help them. Their
ignorance is what bothers her most. She hates herself for it, but she feels gratified that punishment
will be served to them eventually in life. Everything will become balanced in the end. It's what
Eywa strives for.

----In Tendai's culture, they have what you'd call a 'zodiac'. It isn't determined by time of birth,
but more upon the way an individual acts around the tribe's Kuchagua. The Kuchagua determines what
kind of 'energy' you are after observing your actions.
----Kuchagua's identity is secret, so, they give the tribe leader a list that's updated
annually. It's because your energy changes throughout your life.
----The energies are light, heat, movement, and weight. The first three are positive energies,
while weight's negative.
