What's A Posta?
Postas originated in the heart of Venice. They were small in numbers at first and were domesticated animals, but grew larger and larger in population, being shipped overseas in exchanged for goods. Now, Postas are used as replacements for mailmen in many areas. There are many that are also kept as pets and others that live in the wild. Even if a posta is wild, they will always have letters or some form of literature that they keep. The letters can either be love letters to other postas, diary entries, newspaper clippings, or other writings from humans.

Design will be done after Graham has the chance to edit in the hair ;v; You may mark or reserve for now if you'd like, but It's not done yet~


Based off of Saix from the Kingdom Hearts Franchise and slightly off of a "spacey" theme.

Name Meaning: "messenger"
Name Origin: Italian
Aliases: "Nun", "Nancy", "Shisha"

In-Depth Basics
• name choice reasoning:
I wanted a name that fit his purpose of a messenger/postal canine. I didn't want to just name him Saix or Isa, though that is the basis of him. I thought Nuncio was fitting because of his purpose and the fact the species itself originated in Venice, Italy. Plus, it's short, cute, and easy to remember.
• alias choice reasoning:
Nun: Just a regular nickname for Nuncio, it's rather cute and semi-feminine to compliment his feminine appearance.
Nancy: Nancy is a nickname I plan for him to have, but hate. To him, it's the equivalent of "pretty boy" or any female name for a male. Just an insult, but often used more teasing to get on his nerves. Would be used by friends, most likely.
Shisha: Very common nickname for him. It means "envoy" in Japanese, where his current location is. This name is feminine sounding and just adds a flow that the design needs. He goes by this more than Nuncio, it seems, but he won't change his name for the link to his past resides in his name.
• gender reasoning:
Well, despite the feminine hair and colors in the fur, it's the Saix thing that makes me say "male". Though, I'm pretty sure Saix would be a beautiful woman... No no, honest.. I just don't see it in this little guy. It just screams male to me, and I think it fits him.


Location, Location, Location
• origin:
Verona, Italy: Though the species originated in Venice, Italy, story has it his parents met in Verona while both were on their courier runs. He was born in Verona, despite his father being shipped overseas. Whether the tale is true or not, documents show he was born in Verona.
• current location:
Niigata, Japan: I honestly do not know much about Niigata other than it was hit by a tsunami in 2007. However, besides that it seems to be a very peaceful looking city, especially when it snows. Though, there is a lot of snow in this area probably due to the mountains. It just seems like a fitting place to come home to after long delivery hours.
• areas of mail delivery:
Sendai, Japan; Tokyo, Japan; Nagoya, Japan; Osaka, Japan

• date of birth:
August 13: I decided to pick the same day as his creation to make it simpler. Also, I wanted it to be on a 13th and, low and behold, he was made on a 13th.
• blood type:
AB+: AB positive is the universal receiver, if I recall correctly. I don't know exactly why I picked it for him, or specified a blood type for that matter. It was just something I felt I could add, so I did.
• height:
About the size of a German Shepherd.

• allergies:
Corn: For whatever reason, it is to be noted that Nuncio is allergic to corn or corn-based products. Thankfully it doesn't have any extremely fatal effects on him, just vomiting and some mild throat irritation.
Certain Feathers: These just cause him to sneeze, but more commonly he's allergic to cardinal and robin feathers.
• kin:
Unknown: It's safe to assume that he was abandoned at a young age. No parental contact, they just seemed to have up and vanished during his infancy/younger years.
• physical or emotional scarrings:
Physical: X-shaped scar on face, reaches to above the eyes and cheeks. Cause of this is unknown.
Emotional: Abandonment. Due to his parents' mysterious disappearance and the fact no one properly kept him around, he has been constantly left behind or kicked out, leaving him to feel neglected, unwanted, and to some extent hostile.

• personality:
Nuncio is a very fiery, cold male. He is extremely distrustful of those around him and doesn't like to be told what to do. He is a loner and only respects a handful of Postas, if any. He often seems distant and doesn't really have a soft spot for anyone right now. Nuncio can be friendly on very rare occasions, but this is extremely rare. It is also noted he can be manipulative and untrustworthy himself, only in situations where he is vulnerable or frightened.
• history:
Nuncio was born in Verona, Italy to two Postas who met there and fell in love. Nuncio however does not remember his parents and was raised as an orphan. It seems as though his parents just up and vanished one day, no trace of them left. Nuncio was taken in by several foster families and kicked out throughout his life. To live on his own, he drew from his inner Posta blood and began to deliver letters. It seemed though that the only letters he was permitted to deliver were letters of grief and consoling messages after a loved one's passing. With the money he earned, he moved to Niigata, Japan to escape his past. Nuncio made a living for himself and to this day delivers only letters of grief.
