It's pelt is unusually dark for a Dream Weaver. Maybe there's a reason for it?

Why is it's pelt so dark?: When converting their first nightmare, some of it escaped into them. It changed their pelt from light and beautiful color to a dark yet equally beautiful color.
The pelt serves as a memory for them, and although it's odd, they love it.
If they could have one power other than converting nightmares what would it be?: If they could have one power, they'd like to be able to manipulate small objects. It'd help them clean their tiny living space (I'm assuming they have those?). They are horrible at keeping things clean and organized- don't be surprised if you find something important in the kitchen cupboard!
