Mana Geared Hyenas share the same anatomy as the ordinary hyenas, however they are born with
metal intertwined around their left forearm. The metal contains two gems embedded into it and
the Hyenas use it as a controller for their mana. Each hyena contains the magic of one of
the four basic elements, fire, water, air and earth. Their left paws contain the
ability to use these given powers, which can be very destructive. However, the Hyenas will
only use their powers when threatened. Any abuse of power is punished by blackening the gems in
their metal gear, rendering their powers useless with no chance of re-obtaining them.

Companion/relationship with companion: Castiel has small flying squirrel companion that he raised since it was just a little kit whose mother had passed away after birth. Cas named him Chip and made sure to watch over the small kit until he was strong enough to move around on his own. Cas made sure that Chip got his hourly feedings and would stay up all night to watch over the small kit to make sure he would make it through the night. As Chip grew, the two's bond got stronger and stronger and now these two do everything together and are practically inseparable.

Lucy helps protect Hermese, for she has a poisonous bite, and Hermese cares for Lucy, finding her food and such. They both play a important part in their companion's life, and without each other, I don't know where they would be now.
