AGD #49- owned by Aniki

This AGD is unique. He has a blind eye and his tufts of fur have lighter strands in it, making it seem like it shimmers in the sunlight!

❄ Name:
Thamuz.

❄ Age:
Mature.

❄ Why does he have a blind eye?:
His curiosity led him to a dying fire pit and he kicked up a spark that got into his eye.

❄ History/Story:
Just like any Antlered Guardian of Destera, Thamuz, grew up in a pride setting. His mother was young when she birthed him and never truly bonded with her son. He was taken in by another female who gave birth around the same time as his mother. This arrangement was perfect until Thamuz and his ‘siblings’ hit the perky age of 5 months. They became full of energy – exploring anything and everything around them – at any time of the day. Thamuz spotted a hare and led the chase for it. After a while the other cubs left the chase from boredom but little Thamuz was set on catching the hare. Soon the young cub found himself far from the pride and around strange dens made out of animal skins. There were strange new smells all around him that drew him in deeper and deeper into the unknown territory. In the center of the dens there was a pit of glowing earth. Thamuz pawed at the glowing earth and an ember sparked up and burned his eye. Crying out in pain, he woke up the strange creatures that lived in the animal skin dens. They approached him trying to calm him down and capture him, but he bit and scratched and clawed any limbs that went near him.

Running away blindly due to the shock of it all, Thamuz ran in the general direction of his pride. Dropping to the ground out of pure exhaustion the young cub cried out into the night. Luckily for him one of the males of the pack was coming home from a failed hunting trip. Scooping the cub up and carrying him back to the pride in his mouth, the male dropped him off in front of the nursing females before walking away. The females got him fed and tried to heal him with kisses and nuzzles, but nothing seemed to work.

Because he got his injury at a young age, Thamuz was able to learn how to adapt quickly to having just one working eye. A year later he was a healthy young mature male that was roughhousing with the other males and flirting with the females. Like it is in any pride, the senior male kicked out the now grown male cubs out of the pride so he can control what sort of competition he would have during mating season. Thamuz left and tagged along to a brotherhood made out of three other male cubs. They proceeded to hunt, groom, and protect each other for two years. The other males broke off to go start their own pride or find one to join until it was just Thamuz on his own yet again.
He has been on his own ever since.

{I know the history/story is a little rough... I had this idea and just jumped in, but as I started writing it I found a lot of gaps between the events. Still I hope this is a good enough form. ~Aniki

What is an AGD? wrote:An Antlered Guardian of Destera is an antlered big cat species that live in the mounts and unmarked snow plains of Russia. They have tufts that run along their spine, from the back of their elbows and ankles, and from the back of their knees to their ankles. Their diet consists of any type of meat that runs along their territory. They are a pride species, but most of them are found to be loners until they come across a pride. They are very aggressive when humans come onto their lands, but will you win their trust and heart?
