6:00am-
The mustang arrived.A mare who definitely had looks but an awful temperament.In that first hour,I walked her around in the pen.She did manage to kick my thigh, due to my barking dog.I then let her loose.
9:00am-
I put the dog in the house,and began working with the mare,I did work without a halter on.I can get her to stand still while I brush her.My effort to lunge her has been unsuccessful.This mare is not what I thought.
12:00am-
So it turns out that I needed a lunch break earlier than expected.I then fed the dog and watered the horses.My mare Bliss seems to do generally well with the Mustang.So I put her in the next door pen.
3:00pm-
I am very exhausted with this horse.I cannot get anywhere with her.I can tie her and brush her, slip her halter on and off but I can't manage to lunge her in a simple circle.I won't give up on her though.Also her and Bliss didn't get along.
6:00pm-
Finally!I can officially lunge her, she refuses to trot, or walk though.I did draw a picture of her though. I will post it up on here eventually.I will be naming her tomorrow for sure.I have several ideas already.

6:00am-
I fed all the animals including the mare,who I have decided to name, Dixie.I did eventually get to lunging her.I was able to get her to trot and walk this morning.My feeling of trust in Dixie has grown and I believe that, she trusts me more and more as we do these exercises.
9:00am-
All is going well,I am getting Dixie used to plastic bags, cones and dogs.I probably won't write another entry until three but my noon hour will just be lunch and probably some more lunging.Dixie is doing extremely good.
12:00am-
Okay so lunch went by quickly and I was able to draw another piece of art.I will post all my art on Saturday or Sunday. Right now Dixie needs some attention so I'm going back to that for right now.
