What is a Saltkin?
A Saltkin is a type of creature that looks like a mixture between a dog and a cat when in fact it is neither. It is a creature that is closely related to the chinchilla and lives off of salt. They are quite small in reality and can be any color. Most are vibrant colors, though depending on the region they live in, their colors can be earth tones. The land where the Saltkin's reside is called The Salty Sea Side. The there are five regions of this land; The Beach, The Forest, The Gardens, The Swamp, and The Pond. The more vibrant colored Saltkin's reside in these three regions; The Beach, The Gardens, and The Pond. The earth toned Saltkin's reside in these two regions; The Forest and The Swamp. A Saltkin ages 2 years every human month and they never die, they just grow older and older, to the point where they look like prunes. To keep your Saltkin youthful, you must come back to the region your Saltkin is from and get him/her a salty snack, though they can go 3 days without eating. Lastly, Saltkin's have no specific markings so you can add what ever markings you see appropriate.

This adorable Saltkin is a Murky Cream Saltkin. This particular Murky Cream Saltkin is a rare, since it's got a burst of bright blue. You'll never see another Murky Cream like this ever again.

Gandalf felt powerful when he quoted the words of his namesake. "Gandalf." He savoured the word, let it roll over his tongue. "Give me the ring, Bilbo. Do not force me to take it!" Gandalf bounced around, play acting with himself, making up lines on the spur of the moment. "One ring to rule them all!" He picked up his little ring that he pretend was the ring. He slipped in on, and began to sneak around. "I'm invisible! Nobody can see me! Ack! Is that Gollum?"
He hissed to himself in a low voice, "My preciousss... Where is my precious?"
He switched back to his normal voice. "Your precious is over here, dummy! But you can't see me so you can't get it!"
He hissed again. "No! My precious... Riddles? Riddles, please!"
The normal voice took over. "All right, but I go first. What have I got in my pocket?"
"What has it got in its pocketses? Gollum will never know!"
"Hah!" Gandalf skipped away, pleased with himself. Time to find some dinner.

Oh My Gosh! I am crying so hard because this forum is utterly epic! I love the story so much, you have no idea! As I read it, I started giggling and a huge smile spread across my face. x3 Gandalf is my favorite, I died inside when he died in the second movie, like it wasn't even funny, my heart felt like it had been ripped out then he died... I felt Frodo's pain. I LOVE THIS!

I also love The Hobbit scene reference, I can't wait for part two!

Haha. I've read the books and seen all the movies. In The Hobbit they had the riddles scene, I was like "Awww! Gollum actually looks cute!"
