Name: Conversation Hearts, Connie for short
Gender:Female!
Personality:Stubborn and Easily Annoyed
Yes, Connie is annoyed by a wide variety of things, and although her appearance would suggest a sugary-sweet girl, like the candy she is named after, she is not nearly as bubbly and sweet as most think at first glance. She is also very stubborn, and set in her ways. If you're looking to change her mind, I suggest you think twice about how important that is to you!
Sarcastic But With A Sense Of Humor
Connie is also the so-called 'Queen of Sarcasm', and uses it quite frequently. She learned it when she was younger, and never really stopped. However, she has a good sense of humor and enjoys having friends who know how to make a joke. As long as it's in good taste, she'll probably be laughing for hours at even your wimpiest pun. She looks for friends who have the same strong sense of humor that she does, so they can share jokes and laugh together. Sometimes she attempts to write her own jokes, but usually she hears them from the other JMDs.
Strong and Caring
She firmly believes that all JMDs should be treated equally and kindly (both by humans and other JMDs) and if she finds out that they're not, she'll get quite angry. Because, despite all of her sarcasm and armor, she's quite caring, deep down inside, especially if you're her friend. She'll fight to keep everyone loved until her last breath.
Motherly But Awkward
Around younger dragons, Connie is motherly and warm -- she loves playing with them and taking care of them, and babysitting, if she gets the chance. However, around some JMDs she can be quite awkward and shy (especially males).
Likes:Candy, baked goods, her friends, rainy days, reading (usually to learn, not for leisure), thinking up jokes, learning interesting facts and things, and origami, to name a few.
Dislikes:Being too warm, tomatoes, bugs, picture books (she likes thinking up her own pictures), strict people, learning stuff she already knows, large amounts of work, being alone, 'childish' things (in her own definition), and too much sun (it blinds her), to name a few.
A Secret About Her:She loves (border-line obsessed with) stuffed animals, especially the silly little ones sold around Valentine's Day who hold little hearts or say 'I love you' -- not that she'd admit any of that to anyone, because it seems so rediculous. If you were to glance in her closet, however, it would look like a shrine to all things fluffy and stuffed! That's why she doesn't like others to go in her room...
Hobbies:1.) Learning things others generally don't know how to do -- like origami, latchhook, sewing, or even ballroom dancing. It really depends on her mood, but she likes to try a lot of different things to see if she likes them!
2.) Reading informative (non-picture) books. If she could be, she'd probably be a teacher, although she defiantely talks like one some times. She likes to find weird facts to tell her friends.
3.) Listening to music, usually before bed, as it helps her calm down, although when she's nervous, she likes to listen to 'pep-up' music.
Poems:Connie's favorite love poem is Annabel Lee, written by Edgar Allen Poe, because she likes the idea of being so intertwined with a loved one that even after death, there's no chance you'll ever let them go. She wants to (one day) find a male who will love her despite her faults and occasional grumpiness like the man in Annabel Lee.
It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.
I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea,
But we loved with a love that was more than love—
I and my Annabel Lee—
With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven
Coveted her and me.
And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsmen came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.
The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,
Went envying her and me—
Yes!—that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.
But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we—
Of many far wiser than we—
And neither the angels in Heaven above
Nor the demons down under the sea
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling—my darling—my life and my bride,
In her sepulchre there by the sea—
In her tomb by the sounding sea.
Songs:Her favorite love song is 'The Saltwater Room', by Owl City.
