How did he become blind?: He was walking in the forest one day, when he fell in to a hole. Inside the hole, there was a tunnel that had some light shining out at the end. Being a smart dog, he followed the light, until he came to an old woman's shop. The old woman told Barkington to look around and see if he liked anything, and be careful not to break anything. Barkington also noticed that the woman was blind. Barkington looked around the shop for a while, until he accidentally ran into a fancy gold statue and it fell, crumbling to pieces. The old woman said to Barkington; "do you have any money to pay for that? No????? Then I guess we can work something out... I will take your sight, and you will be free to go." So the woman took out a magic wand and waved it near Barkington's face. Barkington tried to run away, but he was swiftly blinded, and the old woman took all of Barkington's sight. Barkington eventually found his way out of the cave, and was found by his parents. They will forever hate that old woman.
