Why you chose this name: The wolf looks kind of lonely and looks like she spends many nights alone wandering the forest. She makes me think of a prophetess who has been cast out by the people but has powers of mystique

Sorry Luna paced the mossy soil under the trees and wept. She remembered her old pack, all dead, and her long-suffering father who trained her in the art of divination. She passed a rocky puddle, throat parched, but continued on her journey. The sounds of the night were abound, and weak moonlight crept through the branches, making a pattern on the forest floor and causing the crescent on her forehead to sparkle and dance. Eventually she came upon an old rotting log and curled up beside it. Slowly she crept her way into dream, prancing with her pack among the stars.

Why you chose this name: First thing (along with Luna) that came to mind as soon as I saw this character. The moon marking on his head made me think of a Lunar eclipse in a starry night sky.

Why you chose this name:
A combination of three words, all Japanese, that relate to The Night.
Mayonaka- Meaning Midnight, referring to the stars that shimmer and dance on his Dark pelt.
Yozora- Meaning Night Sky. What his pelt reminds me of. A clear night sky without a cloud in view, and the stars are plainly visible.
Yoru- Meaning Night. Need I say more? c: Being the Creator of Night I couldn't leave out what He Truly Is. <3

Name of WoC: Moonlit Embrace

Why you chose this name: Well it's actually kind of taken from a song that I utterly adore. The actual line is "And rest now in moonlight's embrace" the song is beautiful and yet so sad because of just the song is about. Moonlit Embrace seemed appropriate rather than the run of the mill Luna plus I already associate that name with a pony princess lol XD

Art and/or poem and/or short story*:
I gently coaxed darkness forward and the creator of day deemed it appropriate and did not stop me as I began to spin my powers in order to create something beautiful and unique. The land was soon shrouded in darkness and I couldn't help but feel that something was missing to make it seem less ominous.

I swished my tail in thought and then after having a bright idea pop into my mind I used my powers to gently grasp and slowly nudge the moon to be seen in the middle of the dark sky. Still the bright shining orb alone wasn't enough to give my creation what it needed to make it amazingly beautiful and also it looked lonely all by itself. I idly pushed a star to a random place in the darkness and thought it too seemed a little lonely so one by one I grabbed more stars and dotted them randomly about the darkness. Soon there was much twinkling and the moon didn't seem to be so alone anymore, "I dub thee, Night" I whispered lovingly as if it were my cub.

After a little more thinking I began to play with the stars, painting pictures in the sky, simple but beautiful pictures. I gave my beloved star pictures a name each their own and also a name for the pictures in general. "Constellations" I whispered and lay down to gaze upon my wondrous night

Why you chose this name:
Nyx is the goddess of night in the book series "House of Night". She is also the "real" goddess of night in Greek mythology~
Art and/or poem and/or short story*:
Turn the day into night
Nyx walked through the dark forest, up to the mountain. The sun was setting behind her back when she reached her spot and the sky were full of orange, yellow and pink colours that was melted together.
And then, she started to run from the sunset, and the sky behind her back become darker. The crescent moon on her forehead started to glow and the stars appeared on the sky, and so did the moon too.
She started to run faster, and her eyes became to glow more intensive. Her eyes were full of joy and happiness while she ran.
Then, she slowed down a bit and looked back.
The night was amazing.
The moon looked exactly like the one she had on her forehead and the stars gave the area a soft light.
She sighed softly before she began to walk into her cave, on the other side of the planet. She could rest for a few hours for now, and she really needed it.
But she was full of happiness, and that's the only thing that matters to her.

Why you chose this name:
The Moon-like shape on her Head looks like a crescent moon. Although she is not the Moon WoC she is often associated with it. During the Crescent moon, light is very low, giving it an Eire glow... Muck like the Glow of her Yellow eyes. They pierce through the darkness of night like a dagger

A dark figure lurks in the Shadows. Its warm breath appears as steam in the icy night. Your ears tune into the sound of a distant Howl. "H-hello?..." Your voice is weak and scared. The bushes rustle behind you, then again in front of you. Fear gets the best of you... Your eyes dart, scanning every this surrounding you. Panting faintly comes from the far of brush. Curiosity begins to fill the place of fear. You take a wary step toward the sound, feet shaking.
