Why you chose the name/it's meaning: I chose the name because I just simply think it suits her. I'm not really sure of the meaning, I've just seen the name around once or twice before, and I really like it. But here is something I gathered up from a few websites - Octavia is of Latin origin, apparently, and means "eighth" (well, I guess, if I win her, eight could be her favourite number or something? Haha. cx). It is also the feminine form of 'Octavius', and commonly is pronounced ock-TAHV-yah. ^^

Why you chose the name/it's meaning:
Well I got that name from Wikipedia since I wanted a greekish name. Chione is the daughter of Boreas and the goddess of snow. My friend picked it out from the four names I choose from the website. Well I was going to choose something more birdish (because there looks like there's a bird over the eye and a wing marking) but I went with that. Well some ideas about why I chose that name is because she has white markings for one thing. Snow is as light as a feather, like the wing and bird marking. Snow sort of flies/floats which ties into the bird and wing markings again. When snow melts it turns into water so it fits the merhorses surroundings.

Why you chose the name/it's meaning:
The meaning of Shaniqua is 'God is gracious.' Although I'm not sure if this exactly suits her, I did find another site describing the bearer of this name as "humanitarian, giving nature, selflessness, obligations, and creative expression." This links to the personality I see her having quite well, and therefore suits her. I chose the name for this reason, as well as the fact that is simply seems like a graceful name, and this Guardian certainly seems graceful and elegant, as well as beautiful. Her intricate designs remind me of a more creative side, and the white wing as representing freedom and purity.
So, all in all, I simply thought this name suited her nicely. c:
