Pinecone Gliders

Pinecone Gliders are small, squirrel sized creatures, best known for habiting only on pine trees. They are wild and usually avoid creatures larger than themselves. Gliders are only seen at night, since they are nocturnal. They are sociable with others of their kind, though they live by themselves. Their diet consists of pinecones and pine needles, though they have been seen eating meat from carcasses left by other animals.

Full Name: Serenade - A piece of music sung or played in the open air - I believe that this fits her perfectly; if you dig deeper, that is. See, Serenade isn't exactly "out-there", being rather introverted, but she's just kind of in the world for all to see.

Nick Name(s): Oddly enough, many people call Serenade "Cirrus" or "Serry".

Age: Serenade's birthday is October 19, 2010. That being the year of her birth, she is 3 years old, and a Libra.

Species: Pinecone Glider



Personality: Many would dare to call Serenade a timid, shy, and frightened female. This, although more than a little true, is not what those who are attentive refer to her as. If you look a little closer, you'll notice a sarcastic, enchanting, and fun-loving little gitl who enjoys to make sarcastic quips and snide, but funny, remarks. She is very clever and witty, but most don't see that side of her as she doesn't speak her opinion too often.
When she does, Serenade never talks about what she thinks exactly. She does a sub conscious filter for her phobia of embarassment, and never looks back. She tries not to let her intense vulnerability get in the way of herspeaking, but how do you do that when your mind never stops working? The answer is, you don't. And the same thing goes for sweet little Serenade.
Something else that no one takes time to notice is her analytical and observant personality, which is always in full effect. She judges everyone mentally, though she won't admit. Serenade labels complete and utter strangers- they would do the same to her anyway. That's how she sees it, anyway. This isn't entirely true, but she can also be very jaded and will often refuse to change her perspective on things. This, yes, is a fatal flaw... But so is changing her.

-Frothy windows - No explanation for this one, but they interest me greatly
-Scenery photos - Sunsets, mountains, and slow moving water has always fascinated her, so why not capture the moment on a Kodak?
-Sarcasm - This is one of Serenade's largest personality traits.
-"Acting" - Not the art of it, but acting is what she does best. Her clever mind processes excuses quickly, and lying comes naturally. She doesn't mean to do it, and isn't proud of it, but why should Serenade hide one of her few talents? Well, it's hidden already, technically...

-Activists - Although Serenade can understand having a passion for something, one shouldn't go out and try convert another to their range of thought.
-Changing others - In case you haven't noticed, Serenade doesn't like it when someone tries to change another person. Everyone has their own relevant way of thinking that is beneficial tp them
-Apologies - Awkward, much? This little girl hates to apologize, and to be apologized to. It puts everyone in a negative situation and should be avoided.

The origin of the word kata is Greek (meaning put down), gelo is Greek (meaning laughing) and phobia is Greek (meaning fear). Katagelophobia is considered to be a specific phobia - Serenade's main fear is one of embarassment. For many this comes from being clumsy, or even extremely socially awkward. But to her, it's because of her likes and dislikes... And overall personality.
