How He Became the Lord of Winter: origionally, Nightmare had been a pitch plack horse with wings, the pegasus's bad side. He was with Hades for 50 years, before Hades let Persephione go back to her mother. (His wife) His mother said when she was at Hades in the underworld, there would be snow. The stallion became Danae's horse, looseing his wings and coat, becomeing white as the surroundings. He was partly colored because Danae thought he needed to be more colorful. He now lives out his life with Danae and her children.

How He Became the Lord of Winter:
As a new born colt this horse loved the snow. He was born when the first flakes fell from the sky. When ever summer came he dreaded the heat of the sun and how it melted everything cold. He was always inpatient for fall to come. He loved to frolick in the large drifts and soon figured out he loved to watch the winter animals. He would help in anyway he could. He especially loved the white rabbits that blended in with the sky powder. It was then when the gods asked him if he wanted to be the Lord of Winter. He gladly accepted and had been watching over the winter season since.
