Kintsugi hums, pleased with herself, as she overlooks her creations. Shards of pottery far too small to ever be combined back into their original forms... now transformed into something new. The sharp edges smoothed and rubbed over, now embedded into small cement bricks, they make the perfect stepping stones for her upcoming garden! She grins widely, making sure each one gets a new shape, be it flowers, bees, or even simply er paw. Its fun to create, and no pottery shard should be left alone.

At the center of it all she makes one larger one, and this one will be for someone else, someone she just met. It may or may not have a floopy ear and as she giggles to herself, she places a loving pawprint on it. Hopefully he liked it, but she would find out soon! Maybe she should make some for her friends as well?

It was tough for Nix to decide what she should make. There was so many possibilities, after all! First, of course, she’d have to see what supplies she had available... Nix pulled out a large tub from the closet that was filled to the brim with craft supplies. She lugged it into the center of the room and settled down, beginning to shift through it. She had everything from tiny pom-poms, to popsicle sticks, to ribbons. There was also glitter, craft paper, glue, crayons, and paint. She could make a lot with this! But she was still undecided... Nix hummed thoughtfully, nibbling on the edge of a popsicle stick. Maybe...? Oh! She could make a tiny diorama of a garden! She had a few shoeboxes laying around - which would be the base - and plenty of green paper for grass, as well as the popsicle sticks for a fence. Already her ideas were coming together!

xxxThe sounds of the downpour could still be heard from inside the small, cozy house where the boglin resided. The rain had become too heavy for them to stay outside, so they reluctantly headed in, to their colorful room. It was well-lit, with bright cyan walls, and a plethora of hand-painted pots of plants that they had grown. For a while, they were aimlessly thinking with boredom- it was when their eyes fell on a particular pot of plants that they had recently picked that they had an idea..
xxxThey padded over to the flowers and brought them to their desk. There was a plethora of vivid flowers, from soft yellow primroses, to bright purple petunias. The now smiling, inspired boglin love making all sorts of crafts with the bright flora, and gifting them to others whenever they got the chance.
xxxSo, they carefully pulled flowers one-by-one, stringing them together until they created a colorful flower crown. They smiled, beholding their creation- sure, it wasn't perfect, but it was theirs.
xxxNow, they were captivated! They continued, creating more crowns of wildly different color pallets, which they would gift later, and having fun during every second of it! Even though it was somewhat dreary outside, the atmosphere was bright here, and the boglin, like their plants, was thriving.
xxxThough they wanted to continue through the night, they had grown tired, and knew it was best to continue later- so, off they went to rest, after a day of fun floral activities.

The rain was drizzling lightly, having finally calmed from the downpour it had been the previous night. Vakin was busy sulking from beneath her pillow fort, she couldn't believe that yet another day was to be spent indoors, away from her garden! Oh, how she missed the beauty of those flowers! Stricken with grief, Vakin carried herself to the kitchen, in hopes to drown out her sorrows with a tub of ice cream. Stepping cautiously around the mess of magazines and newspapers that were in abundance on her floor, Vakin found herself looking into the empty column of space of where the icecream should have been. She slammed the door shut in frustration and accidently knocked down one of the cutouts that had been magnated to the fridge. It was a small piecelet from a DIY magazine depicting a homemade snow globe. An idea suddenly stuck Vakin, if she couldn't couldn't go outside to her garden, then she'd bring it to her! Rushing to find the supplies, Vakin dumped all that'd she need on her desk. Instead of attaching a christmas ornament to the lid of the jar as the directions recommended, Vakin glued down a small bundle of ceramic flowers. The rest was finished as directed, simply filling the jar with water and sparkles. Soon it was done, and Vakin looked down with joy at her little garden! To top it off, all it took was a little shake, and the globe's sparkles perfectly imitated the falling rain outside!

As simple as it is, Eden enjoys making flower jewelry during the spring. When the rain stops and she can go back down to the gardens or fields she finds a nice place to sit down and carefully weaves flowers into bracelets, necklaces, crowns. The delicate flowers, when bunched together, are sturdy enough to last four of five hours before they start to fall apart and wither.
Sometimes if she's feeling particularly daring, and she hasn't left the palace gardens, she'll weave flowers into her actual crown. She knows it's not really formal and is usually frowned upon but Logan lets get away with it. He knows that she doesn't like being queen any more than his sister wanted to be so as long as she isn't making a total fool of herself, a few daisies in her crown are fine.

The cacophony of rain pounding against their hideaway had begun to lessen some - a relief as far as they were concerned. The storm had been going on for far too long, and would most likely continue longer still, but they were glad they had the foresight to bring a small snack with them. It was of their own preparation - a treat they had discovered in their travels. Beneath their paws lay a rich and sweet pastry, layers upon layers of filo filled with walnuts and glued together with a sweet syrup. The name of the dessert was unfamiliar to them, a difficult word for their muzzle and tongue to pronounce - they, of course, still tried. Baklava was the name they had heard on the lips of those they passed - a delicate treat that made their tongue water at the thought of tasting it. What better treat would there be to partake in than the honey and syrup glazed pastry from a world so unfamiliar to them in this stormy weather? A mysterious, yet delicious, treat from another world while the world they became so familiar with was being drenched in rainfall, causing fog and mist to rise from the ground as the rain scented the air. They were all to happy to indulge in their desires, making quick work on the first piece of their treat. As they looked towards the outside world, the rain still pouring in front of their hideaway, they thought: what could be better than this?

As Fuyu continued to eat the slightly burned cupcake he made, the storm made his room cold, and it sent shivers through his spine as if a ghost was lurking around the house. Before finishing his cupcake, he went to the kitchen to prepare a paired drink for it, a refreshing hot choco. He made tons of hot choco throughout winter and he loves it because it warms his whole body up. With the hot choco finished, he went back to his room and made a tiny picnic scene on his table. Not the picnic he wanted but it was good enough. He took a big and warm comforter on his bed and wrapped it around his shoulder. Half-eaten cupcake? Check! Hot choco? Check! Bundled in their big blue sweater, book in hand, and all quiet in their house, they perched themselves on their beanbag chair and began to—hmmm. Their hands stilled, a strange feeling passing over them. A moment passed, nothing changed. Closing their eyes, they took a deep breath—aha!

That’s it! Rising swiftly, they set their book down on the chair, and went straight for the kitchen. They were now on a mission, their goal: chocolate chip cookies.

While this wasn’t an everyday occurrence, every so often they got an insatiable craving for some homemade chocolate chip cookies. And though any number of things could bring it on, nothing did quite as suddenly as rainy days, when they wanted nothing more than to be surrounded by comfort.

Once in the kitchen they fell into a familiar, welcome routine. First, they pulled out the ingredients, intent on making the cookies from scratch. No store-bought dough could compare to their personal recipe after all, their secret ingredients making all the difference. And they weren’t talking about love, though each were made with a warm heart behind them.

Next, solid ingredients. Something ingrained in them from a young age: like with like. So they mixed the solids together first, before adding anything else. Of course along the way, a bit of their own touch was included, secrets that would remain secret, thank you very much.

And later when they settled back down, book in one hand, cookie in the other, everything was perfect.
