what do they miss the most?; Even a star can’t shine without darkness.
Once upon a time, Janus scoffed at that. Then, he was just plain Janus, not the Janus who could sing any song to perfection or the Janus who could dance hip-hop like no one else. But his time came.

Turning back to the quote, he glanced up at the sky. He may look like the sun but he wanted to be the stars at night. Under-appreciated and able to shine at peace with little glimmers of light, not blinding rays. Maybe that quote was supposed to help people through depression he thought but for him, that darkness meant something else.

After being shoved towards the spotlight, there was always a determined reporter desperate for a single phrase, fans that strayed outside his mansion, looking for an autograph or photo. There was no peace, no darkness and that was what Janus missed the most. Not the family and friends who exploited him, not the trust he had in others but rather a darkness where he could slip inside and stay there for as long as he needed. He desperately searched for anything that would give him space, darkness but they had all vanished, blinded by his sunshine. So, this star isn't complete and never will be complete. It will one day explode and leave the ones who were dependent on it dead. And up to his last breath, Janus will be searching for darkness, missing it with every breath and regretting his choices with every step.
