Floor plans of the Cottage

In a forest, overgrown in with vines and shrubbery, a small clearing resides in the center. A large river runs by the clearing, minnows swimming in the water. On the bank, far enough from the water as to not to be ruined by the occasional flood, is a small cottage.

The cottage appears abandoned from the outside, large shrubs surrounding the exterior walls and leaves scattered onto the metal roof. The structure is made of a dark wood, and the candle light that glows from the windows give the cottage an eerie vibe.

The door blends into the shack, as its made of the same wood as the rest of the building, only an ornate sliver handle sets it apart. Opening the door, a wide open room meets you. Plants hang from a large beam on the ceiling the supports the cottage, and candles decorate the windowsills.

Directly in front of you, pushed against the far wall is a small wooden table, with a large spider plant seated in the center with a watering can set beside it. A large mug, a half eaten apple, and old silverware rest on the table, untouched from the day before.

Directly to the left of you is a large stone fireplace, with glass covering the opening from actually letting any of the flames attack the house. Resting against the stone of the fireplace, is a large wooden lute. The instrument is well used, as evident by the dents in it.

Walking further into the dwelling, what appears to be a bed is situated by the right side of the fireplace. It’s covered in pillows and feathers and one large blanket. A mound is present beneath it and upon further exception, a kalon appears to be under there.

Her wings flutter as she pushes the blanket off of her, and the bed, onto the hard wood floors. “If you wanted to come in, you should of knocked,” She scolds, as she gets out of the makeshift bed. She directs you to a small wooden chair on the opposite side of the dwelling and motions for you to sit down. From there she walks to a small wood stove, and puts a kettle on.

Next to the stove are two big wash bins where dirty dishes temporarily sit. The kalon, named Adelaide, busies herself with watering the plants as she waits for the kettle to sing. As she works, she makes conversation, talking about when she was young and her earliest memories, the fact flood season was coming up and she’d have to move her garden inland, as well as asking questions about you and your life.

When the water is boiling, she fetches two mugs from a cabinet above the sink and fills them up before putting in tea bags. She gives you one and sits up on the table. A friendly vibe flows through the dwelling while in the fireplace, a flame crackles and burns.

The cottage, while small, is warm and homey, full of friendly smiles and treasured memories. Every visitor is welcomed back at anytime, every wanderer treated like an old friend.

My Home is a Blacksmith?
I live in a village that has a massive blacksmith due to me being flightless. The blacksmith is at the edge of the village. A long winding road leads up to it. A very long walk, about two miles, leads you straight to there. Just ask the villages about the walk and they will tell you how horrible it is.
The blacksmith is some what like a castle, but with a blacksmith in it and a sign with a real sword. The four towers house about fourty kalons in each of them. So hundred and sixty kalons can live in there at once. I live in the top right tower with all the other apprentices and their mentors. I live in the top room with another kalon. I never see them due to them being in the night train group.
The center is the blacksmith area and it is divided into four sections. One for the experts, apprentices and mentors, volunteers, and an empty one. I'm sure it is there just for the others to learn in their free times, but that's just a theory a... you know what never mind.
The hallways have some are the greatest banners you will ever see! Each banner is dedicated to each kalon that goes here soon. Here's mine! I love how they put me in it. It looks like a stain-glass window. I some what look like the ying and yang symbol with my wings open. I will get it after my retirement.
Now it's time for me to show you my room. They set up tables with flowers between each window. The walls are bland besides the banners. Well now it is time to go to my room. Each of the rooms are the same in size besides the top rooms because they are reserved for royal blood. So I have royal blood, but that's not true I was adopted by the royal family.
My room is on the very top floor so I can't take you there. There are so many stairs just leading to the top. So here's a picture of it instead. I personal love it a lot even the faded posters. So bye that's all I can show you because of all the tour rules. This place is strict and you're not suppose to be here at all. So please run before they sound the alarm. Oh no! They did so run as fast as you can! Bye have a nice day!
