Dream: "when i was very, very little- maybe about five or six years old- i had a dream that i was stuck in an elevator. this wasn't a normal elevator, though- it was a huge, glass elevator, overlooking a room that looked sort of like a mall. it was full of stores and other kalons, but the area that wasn't made up of stores looked a lot more like a candy-themed bedroom, full of lollipop coat hangers, cotton candy couches, and chocolate pillows. i couldn't wait to get down and run around. as soon as i thought that, the elevator stopped. when the elevator stopped working, there was a loud screeching noise, and then a grinding noise, and it stopped suddenly. everyone crowded around the elevator, and people called the police. all i could hear were sirens- of course, this wouldn't happen in real life. it was just an elevator. but it was very scary- especially since, the day after, i got stuck in a real elevator. after that, i've always had a sort of fear of elevators, and being stuck in small enclosed spaces- i prefer relaxing in larger, open spaces. like fields. i think it's called claustrophobia- but i'm not sure."

Dream:
Hana. Hana. Hana. She had woken up in a cold sweat. The room was dark, except for the moonlight coming from the window across the room. She eyed the room, left to right, up to down. Nothing was there but she felt a presence, strange. Hana shook it off and pulled the covers from her heated body and tuning to get off the bed. The small kalon tiptoed to her door and opened it, seeing the hall light on; her parents must have left it on. A she felt a nice warm feeling in her body, a smile appearing on her face.

Creaks were heard behind her, she froze and turned around, but nothing was there. A sigh escaped her mouth and continued to walk down the hall towards her kitchen. Hana had reached the kitchen, she padded towards a cupboard to grab a cup and get some water. The cupboard was already open... strange. The kalon reached up to grab a glass, but there were no cups in the cupboard. Now things were getting confusing. Hallway creaks, open cupboards, no cups. What was next? Hana raised an eyebrow, shut the cupboard, and turned around to see a full glass of water sitting on the counter.

There was no way this was a force of an old house or the wind. Hana started to shake, shifting her eyes around the kitchen to see if it was one of her parents. "Hello..?" She paused. "Mama? Dad?" There was no answer, only silence. She turned her head towards the hall and saw a kalon. It wasn't one of her parents, they weren't that small and she didn't have any siblings. Her eyes widened and she backed up into the corner of the kitchen. Looking quickly around the dark room she remembered she could fit inside one cabinet, she opened the cabinet door and got inside. Hopefully whoever it was didn't she her get inside. The only sound that could be her was the sound of her breathing and creaks which were getting closer to the kitchen. The noises stopped. Now, it was silent.

Hana opened the cabinet slightly to see if the kalon had left. In front of the cabinet was the kalon at the end of the hall, it was sniffing around the kitchen. She gasped loudly and shut the cabinet with no thought, it made a terribly loud noise that had gotten the attention of the mysterious kalon. Hana's eyes widened and she quickly covered her mouth with her paws, the kalon slowly opened the cabinet she was hiding in, seeing her and gabbing her out of the cabinet. It went dark and silent.

She awoke back in her bedroom on her bed, she refocused and looked into a mirror that was placed at the end of the bed. It was old and cracked. Where did it come from? Hana sat in silence for a few moments until the kalon stepped out from behind the old mirror. A shiny grin pasted upon its face as it walked up to her, placing a paw on her arm. It said nothing. The kalon grabbed her and shoved her into the mirror-

She woke up, out of breath.

Name: Kitty (Real name is Christopher)
Gender:Male
Dream: “A dream... I can't remember the last time I've dreamed. It's been a while since I've been able to sleep after what's happened to me over the last few days, but let’s see...”
He rose from the ground and began to pace back and forth trying to remember a dream he once had. After a recent accident caused him to lose his memory. It had been hard for him to remember things such as his love for cute creatures, but most importantly his memories. He looked around hoping to find something to help start his thoughts, but alas there was nothing but storm clouds.
He sat in the grass, lightly slamming a paw on the side of his head. “Think Kitty, think!”
He started to believe that all hope was lost, that is, until a butterfly landed on the tip of his nose. He looked down towards its glittering wings as it rested, slowly opening and closing its wing. Seeing that insect caused a spark to go off throughout his entire body.
“I- I remember now… That dream… Golly it’s been a long since I’ve had this dream. Let’s see… I was around the age of 12 when this happened –“
*****
It had been a long day for the kit as he played around with the various creatures nearby. It was getting late and his mother was telling him that it was time to rest in order to handle the events of the coming day. He and his family were getting ready to move to a safer part of the country to escape the many scientists who tried to separate them. She knew that day would come when she would have to leave her kit, but that day was not going tomorrow. She walked with her son to his chamber and laid him down.
“Sleep now my dear, I’ll see you in the morning” and with that she kissed him goodnight and let him sleep.
When Kitty closed his eyes he was quickly transported to a white room with no doors, or gravity for that matter. He then awoke to himself floating within the white space. “H-Huh? Where am I?”
He looked around for a moment swimming through the emptiness of the room.
“You have nothing to fear young one. You’re dreaming.” Said a voice unknown to him. His ears perked up as he continued to look around.
“Hmm? Well that would explain why I’m floating. Could I change that?”
“Sure think lil’ buddy, just tell me what you want and it’ll be done.” Said the voice.
Kitty thought for a moment and soon the light bulb went on in his head. “If it’s not too much of a burden could we be put in a land full of candy?? Oh! And maybe a place filled with cute fuzzy creatures too!”
The loud, mysterious voice gave out a chuckle and said, “You got it little buddy, one world full of critters and candies coming right up.”
And with that, Kitty was slowly lowered to the ground as the white space around him soon transformed into a large, wondrous land that fit his specifications. Kitty stood there amazed as the mystical being from above made what he thought to be impossible, possible.
“Wowie! That was amazing!! I can’t wait to explore this place!” he said with a giggle. “Thank you – um… I’m sorry, but can I ask what your name is?”
The being was silent for a moment before giving out a small chuckle once again. “You just did silly~ but of course. They call me Shirin. I am the guardian of your dreams. I’m here to make sure that nothing comes to harm your mind while you’re asleep Christopher, or should I say, Kitty.”
Kitty looked towards the sky in amazement with a wide smile on his face. “A dream guardian…COOL!! Where exactly are you Shirin? I can’t seem to find you anywhere…”
“That’s because you can’t at the moment. You see, I have no physical form in this place. Yes, I may be able to control the setting, but you’re the one who creates the story. Just imagine what I’d look like, and I shall take that form.”
Kitty nodded and closed his eyes. When he opened them there before him stood a being like he had never seen before. It was larger than a beaver but smaller than a bear. Its tail was long and striped and bits of peppermint were stuck to its hair. Its tail was long and stripy and its fur smelled of mint. The creature smiled before him and bowed. “Quite a nice form you’ve picked out for me kiddo.”
Kitty grinned with pleasure as he hopped around Shirin with a grin. “Oh it’s so nice to see you! Hey, hey let’s play together Shiri!”
Shirin looked down towards the kit and ruffled the fluff on his head. “Alright, let’s go!”
The two had played for what seemed like hours, and to end their day of fun they decided to lay down in Cotton Candy fields to watch the sunset. Kitty laid right beside Shirin while the giant Candy sun slowly began to fall. He began to realize that when the sun went down, his dream would soon come to an end.
“Shiri-“he said. “I don’t wanna go .I’ve had the best time of my life here, with you. Y-You’re like the bestest friend I could ever have…I don’t wanna leave you!”
Shirin looked down at him with a frown as the sun began to disappear and world around them began to fade to white, as did he. “I’ll always be with you kid, in your mind and your heart, believe me.”
Those were the last words he had heard from his friend before he awoke.

*****
Kitty looked down at the insect, with its peppermint pattern, and smiled. He’s never seen a butterfly like that before, he knew it could only mean one thing. “Hehe it’s been a long time hasn’t it…Shiri” Word count :(1000/1000)

      Dream:

It seemed perfectly normal, except there was no color. I was painting, but I wasn't quite sure I was painting with the right colors. I grew more and more tentative about painting the flowers, squinting and nearing tears as I couldn't discern any color what-so-ever. I swore under my breath, painting increasingly aggressively until I threw my brush upon the ground, storming off. If this wouldn't fix itself, I had to go find an on switch for the color. Clearly, some jerk turned it off for me.
Of course, everywhere was a bleached grey, lacking any of the vibrancy I had put throughout my home. The walls were gray, not the blues I loved. The furniture was all light grey, a far cry from the funky and bright colors I had lavished upon them. Colors were my life, clearly, but this dream robbed them all from me. I marched out the front door, opening it wide to reveal an equally dull world. Usually when you see a black and white photograph, you can mentally substitute the colors in for the elements of the photo. I didn't even have that luxury. I could look at a bush, but I couldn't see it as green. I had lost even the concept of color. Great.
Now, you may be wondering how I get out of this hellish dream.
      I don't.
      That's my dream.
      To have color again.
I had color, when I was young. I already knew my love of art, of colors, of vibrancy and life and the psychology behind colors and everything color related. However, I suffered a severe illness, one that took me forever to recover from. That, in combination with my medication, resulted in the loss of my colors. Monochromacy, they call it. I'm afraid now, because I'm losing even the memory of colors. I'm still painting, but all I know is the shades of grey. My paintings are getting attention for my "bold use of color".
      Hah.
      The irony.

    Dream:
The violet sky had a dreary feeling to it and a heavy atmosphere loomed over the kalon's head. Alisa walked aimlessly, paws brushing the ground, bright green grass tickling its way between her toes. She didn't know her purpose or her cause for being in the area- an endless field of green with some weeds poking up here and there with a brilliant purple sky fit with puffy cotton candy clouds of pink- but a deep sense of instinct in her gut led her towards the sound of rushing water. Noticeably, the sky began to darken as she followed her mind's path.

Once she reached the source of the water sounds, she was greeted with vibrant blue water floating through the air, forming shapes and bubbles in the sky. The water blobs were originating from a fountain, which gurgled them out like a bubble machine. Some blobs had fish in them- bright orange goldfish in their own personal fishbowl drifting on past. Alisa looked on in awe and reached a paw out to touch the water, but as she touched it, suddenly it collapsed onto the ground and was absorbed by the thirsty ground.

Careful not to touch any more- especially the ones with the beautiful fish in them- she walked on past, heading to the source of the water bubbles: the fountain. It was made of some sort of porcelain white stone which glimmered and reflected all the contrasting blue water globs and the intensity of the darkened violet sky. As she approached the fountain, the ground was becoming moist and sunk wherever she put her paws, probably the remnants of the spraying water landing on the grass or popped bubbles. The sky was black now and Alisa didn't quite like the vibes that she was getting, but pushed past her fears and propped herself up against the fountain with her front paws over the ledge. What she saw was astonishing.

There was no water in the body of the fountain, instead a dark sky full of stars that glistened like sparkles in the warm sunlight. Bubbles that were shooting from the center of the fountain were sometimes falling into the void, creating planets of water and lifeforms. Almost like she knew exactly what to do, she gathered some moss that was gathering on the side of the fountain and crumpled it into a ball, then carefully planned the right moment from the water shooting out so that she could combine the land and water. The first few times weren't a success, but by the fifth time, she had created a pretty lumpy planet with rivers and lakes and oceans galore and watched as it gradually floated into space.

      Finally, she realized her purpose.

(I hope it's alright that i answered the prompt a bit differently!)

Lights flickered on, bringing life to the area. Ivy was outside, standing alone on a large stage. She gasped silently at the sea of fans stretched out before her, applause and cheers echoing through the night. She looked down at the microphone she held. It nearly slipped out of her grasp, her palms were so sweaty from her nervousness. As she lifted it to her mouth, music began to fade in. The crowd was drowned out by the song, and It was all Ivy could hear. The first verse escaped her lips, quiet at first, but eventually crescendoing as she was absorbed by the melodies. She grinned to herself, encouraged by the positive response of her fans.

The memory was faded, but still prominent in Ivy's mind. She sighed, slowly opening her eyes and being returned to the real world. It was almost midnight, and the wind-blown grass was turned a teal green by the light of the moon. The only sound was the chirping of crickets.
She was kneeling on the ground, clutching her microphone tightly as she looked up to the old stage. It seemed cold, the surrounding area empty of the audience which used to inhabit it. She still remembered where she would stand, as the spotlight nearly blinded her. The choruses of her old songs echoed hauntingly in her mind.

Ivy's dream, since she was young, had always been to be a famous singer. She had gotten her wish.
But years had passed since then, and her fame had been swept away by the river of time.

She stood, turning to walk back to her car. She slammed the door behind her as she climbed into the driver's side, and never looked back as she drove off into the night.

Her dream would live again, she was sure of it. Ivy was determined.

Dream: You blink, gasp, sit up in a cold sweat and panic; struggle to your feet with the weight of a train on your chest. The short trip from your bedroom through the living room and to the only window in the small mostly interior wall-less home seems like a mile. Like you're still stuck in the nightmare and your farm outside is burning, the room stretching out to a thousand infinite possibilities, none of which include you reaching the door to sprint out to your animals and save them from the flames. Just a little harder, just a little faster, just reach, just a little more! The usually cold steel of the doorknob feels warm, unnaturally so, why? Your heart hammers harder in your chest as wild pink eyes take in the turn of events and somehow, in this Hellish heart your blood runs cold. It's not the farm that is burning, but your home. You shake the door knob, twist and turn and tug and pull but it won't open. You can't get it open. You're going to burn. You couldn't save them and now you will join them.

You blink, gasp, sit up in a cold sweat and panic; struggle to your feet with the weight of a train on your chest. It was all just a dream, it had to be. The way your hair is matted to your forehead with sweat and your clothes stick to your chest tells you your body doesn't think so. But as you make it to the door and wretch its wooden frame open you stand in the door way and just let your chest heave with each panicked inhaled until the dread washes away at the sight of everyone in their pens, snoozing soundly and comfortably. You don't know why you keep having this dream ... this nightmare, but you will head it's warning. Your farm and these poor rescued animals will survive whatever is in store for you, you know it.

Everything, dull. The sky, the grass, everything was a dim grey. Except for herself. Tessie walked along the familiar path outside her home, in awe and disgust of this changed dream-world. It just didn't seem like something that she could conjure up in her mind. The town she lived in was deserted, the usually busy streets empty. Crickets chirped in the far distance, but there was no sign of life.
"Hello?" No reply, just an echo. She looked down at herself, full of colour as always. "Why?" was the first thing that came to her mind. She continued on, baffled, angry, annoyed with herself for placing her into such a world. Soon, she arrived at the city gates, the sun reflecting off of it in a weird way. As she approached the steel net, she noticed it was made not of metal, but of crystal. They were stronger than the wire in real life, and there wasn't a gate. She couldn't leave this pseudo-hell. She mindlessly trodded back home. Sometimes the gate in real life was closed and she couldn't exit, but there always was a way to leave. The crystal barrier between her and the open fields outside was impenetrable from what she'd seen. She decided to explore, check out what other changes there were. Aside from the lack of life, all there was was an eerie feeling hanging around the town. She sulked on the steps of her home.
This area usually has a good view of a nearby mountain, but along with everything else, it wasn't worth seeing. Deep sighs came from the kalon's mouth, which attracted a squirrel. The only living creature Tessie had seen in a long time. Like her, the squirrel was coloured. It was too fast for her, and while chasing it, Tessie lost track of the creature. She was once again alone in hell.
Off in the distance was a pillar of smoke. It was outside the crystal walls, but she could faintly see moving things near the base. She called out, used whatever she could to make noise, even went to the local radio tower and broadcasted a call for help. Nothing. Tessie was once again filled with sadness. She went to sleep.

Jerking awake, Tessie frantically looked around her room. The several flowers and star stickers that adorned her wall were all in their full glory. She sighed a breath of relief. She knew it was a dream, but it seemed too real to be false.
