Name: Kitty (Real name is Christopher)
Gender:Male
Dream: “A dream... I can't remember the last time I've dreamed. It's been a while since I've been able to sleep after what's happened to me over the last few days, but let’s see...”
He rose from the ground and began to pace back and forth trying to remember a dream he once had. After a recent accident caused him to lose his memory. It had been hard for him to remember things such as his love for cute creatures, but most importantly his memories. He looked around hoping to find something to help start his thoughts, but alas there was nothing but storm clouds.
He sat in the grass, lightly slamming a paw on the side of his head. “Think Kitty, think!”
He started to believe that all hope was lost, that is, until a butterfly landed on the tip of his nose. He looked down towards its glittering wings as it rested, slowly opening and closing its wing. Seeing that insect caused a spark to go off throughout his entire body.
“I- I remember now… That dream… Golly it’s been a long since I’ve had this dream. Let’s see… I was around the age of 12 when this happened –“

It had been a long day for the kit as he played around with the various creatures nearby. It was getting late and his mother was telling him that it was time to rest in order to handle the events of the coming day. He and his family were getting ready to move to a safer part of the country to escape the many scientists who tried to separate them. She knew that day would come when she would have to leave her kit, but that day was not going tomorrow. She walked with her son to his chamber and laid him down.
“Sleep now my dear, I’ll see you in the morning” and with that she kissed him goodnight and let him sleep.
When Kitty closed his eyes he was quickly transported to a white room with no doors, or gravity for that matter. He then awoke to himself floating within the white space. “H-Huh? Where am I?”
He looked around for a moment swimming through the emptiness of the room.
“You have nothing to fear young one. You’re dreaming.” Said a voice unknown to him. His ears perked up as he continued to look around.
“Hmm? Well that would explain why I’m floating. Could I change that?”
“Sure think lil’ buddy, just tell me what you want and it’ll be done.” Said the voice.
Kitty thought for a moment and soon the light bulb went on in his head. “If it’s not too much of a burden could we be put in a land full of candy?? Oh! And maybe a place filled with cute fuzzy creatures too!”
The loud, mysterious voice gave out a chuckle and said, “You got it little buddy, one world full of critters and candies coming right up.”
And with that, Kitty was slowly lowered to the ground as the white space around him soon transformed into a large, wondrous land that fit his specifications. Kitty stood there amazed as the mystical being from above made what he thought to be impossible, possible.
“Wowie! That was amazing!! I can’t wait to explore this place!” he said with a giggle. “Thank you – um… I’m sorry, but can I ask what your name is?”
The being was silent for a moment before giving out a small chuckle once again. “You just did silly~ but of course. They call me Shirin. I am the guardian of your dreams. I’m here to make sure that nothing comes to harm your mind while you’re asleep Christopher, or should I say, Kitty.”
Kitty looked towards the sky in amazement with a wide smile on his face. “A dream guardian…COOL!! Where exactly are you Shirin? I can’t seem to find you anywhere…”
“That’s because you can’t at the moment. You see, I have no physical form in this place. Yes, I may be able to control the setting, but you’re the one who creates the story. Just imagine what I’d look like, and I shall take that form.”
Kitty nodded and closed his eyes. When he opened them there before him stood a being like he had never seen before. It was larger than a beaver but smaller than a bear. Its tail was long and striped and bits of peppermint were stuck to its hair. Its tail was long and stripy and its fur smelled of mint. The creature smiled before him and bowed. “Quite a nice form you’ve picked out for me kiddo.”
Kitty grinned with pleasure as he hopped around Shirin with a grin. “Oh it’s so nice to see you! Hey, hey let’s play together Shiri!”
Shirin looked down towards the kit and ruffled the fluff on his head. “Alright, let’s go!”
The two had played for what seemed like hours, and to end their day of fun they decided to lay down in Cotton Candy fields to watch the sunset. Kitty laid right beside Shirin while the giant Candy sun slowly began to fall. He began to realize that when the sun went down, his dream would soon come to an end.
“Shiri-“he said. “I don’t wanna go .I’ve had the best time of my life here, with you. Y-You’re like the bestest friend I could ever have…I don’t wanna leave you!”
Shirin looked down at him with a frown as the sun began to disappear and world around them began to fade to white, as did he. “I’ll always be with you kid, in your mind and your heart, believe me.”
Those were the last words he had heard from his friend before he awoke.

Kitty looked down at the insect, with its peppermint pattern, and smiled. He’s never seen a butterfly like that before, he knew it could only mean one thing. “Hehe it’s been a long time hasn’t it…Shiri”
