Kuma is often subject to wild panic attacks that can leave him cripple and shaking on the ground. When these strike, no one can seem to calm him down except for his closest friend, who can't always be around, which is why he carries around the tattered beluga whale stuffed animal with a vanilla scent. This small, white toy with shimmering blue eyes is his comfort in times of panic and stress. When a panic attack comes, he curled up in a corner cradling it. The softness of the fake fur sown on the toy reminds him of his friend and the warm scent eases him into breathing deeply. He always carries his toy around and never lets it out of his sight. If he were to ever loose it, the results could be catastrophic.
Kuma first got his beluga whale after Xuikcho took him in. When it became apparent that they wouldn't be able to be near eachother as often as they'd hoped, Xuikcho took Kuma to a local market where he sought out a comfort item. When he had located it, Xuikcho stole it when the owner wasn't watching, as neither have any currency to pay for it. However, Kuma still felt bad for stealing the toy and left dead critters in front of the market daily. The owner, however, was not too fond of Kuma's method of payment.

Kuma's closest friend is, oddly enough, a Viscet named
Xuikcho. Xuikcho and Kuma go nearly everywhere togeather, and Kuma loves to ride on her back while she jogs about. They both look past their flaws and see only the bright, shimmering heart that both hold within. They met when Kuma was a baby near the den he was born in. Xuikcho was lured over by the pathetic squeaking of the infant and immediently felt a connection. She carried him around everywhere she went and raised him as if he were her own. The two are inseparable.
