why?

Leather jacket - it was her best friends ( of 20 years currently) favorite leather jacket. She let no one touch it or wear it though when it grew too small she knew only one person she could hand it down to, her short friend Arabella.

Dog Tags - The dog tags she keeps hidden under her shirts are her dads, at a young age her dad joined in a war. She cried for weeks at him leaving. With him gone it left a hole in her heart that only him coming back would fill. Her father wrote back when ever he could but when the messages didn't come back she thought maybe he was coming home. And he did come home but not alive. It tore a bigger wound in her heart and she cried for years to come. She wears his dogtags under her shirt, and the closest to the heart, because while it doesn't quite fill the hole, it makes it feel like hes still here close to her and she can talk to the tags and feel like hes listening back.

Assorted superhero pins - Growing up her dad was a superhero to her and she called him her superhero and they would always run around the house pretending to be one while her mother laughed at them and called them dorks. As she grew into her teen years she still believed and called her dad her superhero. When he went off to war she depended on the marvel superheros to be her superhero while her father was a superhero for the whole country. While her dad is her first and foremost superhero, the marvel superheros still give her a sense of pride when reading the comics and she feels like the characters are her family.

Paris bracelet - Growing up shes made friends from across the country and when she admitted to her friend from France that the first place she would like to visit is Paris her friend shipped the bracelet to her right away hoping it would be the best next thing to visiting there. Since she got the bracelet, she wears it every single day, hoping that one day she will go to Paris to visit her friend while wearing the bracelet.
