Some days she decides that she's Captain Feathers, daring super hero, other days she pretends to be her sister, Panini, and still others they might have a little copy of their sons Ryder or Dylan on their hands. Of all the Kias in her life, Cyra would consider Raina the closest.
They met simply enough, walking though the forest one day. The charming and quirky girl left a big impression on the adult female, and Raina found she couldn’t get little Cyra off of her mind. Over the next few months the two forged an inseparable bond, Raina having no daughter, and Cyra having no parents. Before long Raina and Niall decided to bring little Cyra into their family, and she was absolutely thunderstruck that someone would love and want her- a PPS- enough to make her their own daughter. With great excitement, she moved into their tree-house den and since that day, has been an integral part of their family.
Though Cyra has a huge imagination and loves pretending for fun, she also sometimes finds herself using her ‘roleplaying’ to hide the way she really feels. Cyra only feels comfortable letting her whole mask fall off in front of Raina. Cyra can talk to her momma about anything that worries or excites her without fear of being ridiculed or judged. Raina, who had dreamed of having a baby girl since she was one herself, loves to sit down and talk with Cyra. When Cyra is upset about her PPS, or feeling down from comparing herself to her sister, Raina gently reminds her just how special and beautiful she is. Like all relationships however, their’s has its bumps in the road. Sometimes Raina gets frustrated when Cyra won’t stop pretending to be someone else. (“Cyra, won’t you just be you for once?!!?”) She feels this way because she’s concerned that Cyra is afraid to be herself. Of course Raina knows that raising her voice won’t help anyone, and on the occasions when this does happen she is quick to apologize to her daughter. Raina recognizes that Cyra does, however, have an incredible talent for acting, and even though she’s destined to stop growing at the age of nine, with her mother’s help Cyra’s acting skills will take her far in life.

Niall;;
Cyra is most certainly a ‘Daddy’s Girl’. She adores Niall and loves spending time with him. You could definitely say she has him wrapped around her finger, Niall would do anything for his baby girl. Cyra brings out Niall’s gentle side in a way that not many others can. She is almost like his shadow, tagging along with him everywhere. On the rare occasions when she and Raina have a disagreement, Cyra comes straight to Niall for comfort. When Niall’s around, she likes to just be herself. Unless, of course, they’re playing superheroes. Cyra and Niall like to make up stories about the heroic Captain Feathers, played by none other than Cyra herself. When she first invented the game, Cyra used an old Halloween mask of Ryder’s as her costume. Niall knew they could do better. Before long he had Cyra outfitted in his old bandana, big enough to fit her perfectly as a cape. Since then she wears the cape almost constantly, and uses it as a blanket at night, a constant reminder of her father’s love for her.

Panini;;

Cyra and her sister have a quirky relationship. When it’s just the two of them, they get along quite well, feeding off each other’s bubbly personalities and mostly having a blast. They do have their differences though, in that Panini is a total girly-girl and Cyra is more of a tomboy. Even so, Cyra almost always enjoys playing dress up with Panini, choosing more exciting costumes like cowgirl boots and a sneaky-looking bandana while her sister picks beautiful princess outfits. Cyra loves to try to convince Panini to play her favorite outdoor games, but due to Panini’s more dominate personality, after a bit of bickering her favorite games usually win out instead.
When they’re around older Kias is when the friction really starts to happen. Like most little girls, they both want to be the center of attention. Panini is usually willing to do more to achieve it. This really frustrates Cyra. She really doesn’t want to throw a tantrum just to get what she wants from an adult, or to be in the spotlight. She gets grouchy when Panini uses her ‘grown-up mind control’ aka. her puppy dog face and temper tantrums. If Cyra feels especially irritated, she might mimic Panini, copying her expressions and postures. This usually results in the two of them having a little scuffle. In a day or two, however, their fight will be forgotten and they’ll be back to being close friends. Even though they argue a lot, Cyra really does love her sister, and sometimes even pretends to be her when they’re apart.

Percy;;

Cyra and Percy share a close bond. The enjoy spending their days romping in the woods as the search for treasures like butterflies, hidden waterfalls, and sometimes even long forgotten arrow-heads in the dirt. Together they pretend to be great explorers in the jungles of South America. These days are always alive with laughter and smiles, as bright young eyes widen at new and exciting discoveries. Cyra looks up to her brother a lot, and developed her great spirit of adventure (and maybe her reputation as a bit of a tomboy) from time spent with him. Percy has a strong personality but isn’t overbearing or bossy, and Cyra doesn’t feel like she has to fight to compete with him. Because of this they rarely have a real argument. After their adventures, they like to curl up together and talk about their dreams for the future. They feel like their PPS brings them close together, and Cyra feels secure in the fact that Percy can’t outgrow her like she fears her other brothers will.

Ryder;;

When Raina and Niall first adopted Cyra, Ryder was unenthusiastic. “Another kid, just great! Before ya know it they’ll be ignoring me.” He told himself. He was also concerned that she would be annoying beyond belief. Before long he was proven wrong on both. His parents still had plenty of love to share with him and little Cyra, and she was also not annoying beyond belief, though she always had come pretty darn close, Ryder thought. He and Cyra had a bit of a rocky start, on Ryder’s part he mostly ignored her, but after a short time Cyra’s playful antics and quirky personality won him over. They enjoyed many days of running around in the great outdoors, playing sports and games. Their favorite was the one where Cyra played the great hero, Captain Feathers, and Ryder was her nasty arch-nemesis. These days they don’t see each other as often now that Ryder’s all grown up, but when they’re together they enjoy watching super hero movies, eating junk food, and every so often, after a lot of begging on Cyra’s part, playing another game of Captain Feathers.
Even though Cyra loves Ryder and looks up to him a lot, one of her favorite activities is still trying to annoy the stuffing out of him. Unfortunately, chasing Cyra down and tickling her until she screams for mercy is one of Ryder’s. Despite they’re great age difference they balance each other out well and have a great big brother-little sister relationship.

Dylan;;

Cyra was ecstatic when little Dylan was born. Now that he’s a few days old she’s allowed to hold him and help her parents with his care. Though she absolutely adores him already, she looks forward to the day when he’s old enough to play with her. Those thoughts are laced with bitterness, however, as Cyra realizes that the time will fly and before she knows it, Dylan will be all grown up and she’ll still be just the same as she is now. Though that knowledge weighs heavily on her, she has a young, hyperactive mind that doesn’t allow her to dwell on those thoughts for very long. When she gets down about it she likes to go and pick up Dylan, rocking him back and forth and cherishing the precious time she has with her little brother.
