Story;;
'Twas a blustery, gray winter morning as Max and his best friend were padding along a rocky mountain path together. The day was foggy and chill, and snow was piled on the fringes of the slightly muddy trail. Coming to a gorge, the two friends paused, and glanced at each other, unsure how to cross. They needed to get across this mountain to visit their sick friend, and they had gone too far to turn back now. Max's keen eyes spotted a rope bridge that faded into the mist that was hanging ominously over the gorge. "Hier entlang!" (This way.) He called to his friend, running up to the bridge full of hope. His friend called out for him to wait, and then raced after him anyways. He hesitated on the bridge before gingerly stepping out, placing his paws on the wooden planks. "Max?" He called. "Ja?" (Yeah?) Max asked, pausing in the middle of the bride to look back. A sudden creaking sounded, pricking their ears in the instant before the bridge's ropes snapped in half. Howling, his friend watched as Max fell. He had his teeth clamped firmly on the rope, and stretched out a paw vainly to Max, but too little, too late. Max's body disappeared into the mist. "Max?" His friend cried out as best he could around the rope.
"Aus! Aus!" (Let go! Let go!) Max's voice sounded faintly through the fog. "Glauben Sie mir," (Trust me.) Max said. His friend squeezed his eyes shut, afraid, but a comforting thought entered his mind. When had Max Von Stephanitz ever lied to him? He took a deep breath and let the rope fall from his mouth. "Max!" He yowled as he fell, spinning into open air. He suddenly landed with an "Oof!" On something solid and soft. He opened his eyes and saw Max, alive and mostly unharmed, grinning at him. "Ich habe dir gesagt, du könntest mir vertrauen," (I told you you could trust me.) He murmured, pushing his nose affectionately to his best friend's side. They had fallen a very short distance, maybe 20 metres or so. His friend smiled, relieved at him. "Komm, lass un gehen." (Come on, let's go.) Max said. His friend nodded, and they began walking again. Soon the fog cleared and long behold- they were out of the mountain.
Why Such A Simple Form;;
I see Max being a very simple character, one who is straightforward and likes to keep himself humble and non-complex, and I wanted my form to reflect the character I have built for him in my head.
If the translations are off, I apologise, but it was the best Google translate could provide x'3
(I'm actually kind of nervous making it simple on purpose lol)
