short story under 800 words:
A Song to Remember
Cold winds blew making it a dark cold night. But someone was left in the cold to fall into a forever sleep. Some were in her mind she herd a lovly song. Like a firefly to a lamp she was drawn to it. Smoothly she got up to fallow the sweet song. Not long after her toes started to howl in pain as she truged on. Hours latter she fell to the forest flour calling to the song she herd. Soon she closed her eyes hopeing she would open them again. Only hearing slow paws walking around her. Soon her eyes flew open to see light comeing from out of the warm den she was in. She quicky got up to find the song she had herd...but nothing. The young dragon called the dragon who saved her Carmen..and that is what he was named. She will never forget that graceful song that night, he would never forget how she named him and why.

A green and blu egg sat by it's mother a beautiful green and black Bean. She smiled as she knew her little egg was going to hatch into her new baby. Suddenly the little egg had a tiny little claw scomming out of it. The mother looked at the egg, she sat up she was exited for her see her new baby. Then the little claw came out to a full paw and the rest of the little bean came out. He looked at his mother confused to the new world. He looked around and ran to his mother. Tears of joy came down the first time mother's face. She pulled the baby bean closer to her, "Your name is Soarin." she said. Soarin looked up at his mother then nuzzled her tail. His mother laughed and smiled.

short story under 800 words: Jay Feather is a silent JBD, he doesn’t talk much to others except his friends, that is why he currently was sitting in the meadows. He was listening to the sounds of nature, the sound of blue jays all around him. He wondered how something so small could sound so innocent, so sincere, and so amazing. He loved the sound of jays, for some reason he felt compelled to sing with them. He tensed and then let out a shrill twitter; he gasped and covered his mouth with his paws, had that sound come out of him? Feeling a strange thrill he put his paws down and tried again, he let out another twitter and the meadow became quiet. He sang a few notes and then he started to feel strange, like this is what he was born to do. He felt like for the first time he actually was great at something. As he sung he felt his worries melt away.
Melt away into…. sweet silence.
The next few days he would come back to practice and enhance this new found talent. Gradually, he began to grow better at it and soon he almost copy that jays sweet song. He was truly happy now.

Hiku pounced on a bird, before he reached it, the bird flew off. " Bird! Come back and let me catch you! " He shouted running after it. But it flew out of sight, he always had a love for birds, everyone said, that he was part bird and JBD. Hiku didn't really mind that much, he looked like a beautiful bird, he didn't mind much. Hiku walked back home, but before he did, he accidentally tripped and fell into the mud. " Oh no.. " He mumbled, this might be a dream! He close his eyes and place his paws over his eyes and breath in and out, then sat down in the mud and cried out, " Oh no, I am doomed! " He thought,
" Blackberry says, " How can you get dirty? Bath! " Takes him and place in the bath tub and pour water on him, then washed him, then punished him. " You are not allowed to go out for the whole day. "
" Nooooooooooo!! " Hiku said sadly. He sighed and walked back home, Huki opened the door quietly and slipped through the door, he close the door quietly, and was about to go to his room when Blackberry called, " Hiku? You are back? Come here for lunch! " Hiku gulped and walked towards the dining hall, Blackberry screamed at the sight of him, " HIKU!!! "

Hiku gulped, Blackberry carried him into the bath tub and place him, and washed him clean. Then groomed him, then she place a towel on his back and said, " You can't go out for the rest of the day. Come for lunch. " Hiku nodded and followed, it was salmon, with some sushi. Hiku ate them and went to watch tv, his favorite show was starting soon, Hiku grinned and watched the show cheerfully. Suddenly there was a thud thud sound outside, Hiku look out and saw it was raining heavily. Hiku sighed, and he close the windows and went to close the others, he felt a luttle scared, he went to Blackberry's room and saw she was tidying it up the room, " Blackberry?.. I.. Am scared.. " Hiku whispered. Blackberry stood up and carried Hiku to the sofa and place an arm around Hiku and watched tv with him simling, " I will protect you forever Hiku. " Blackberry said, Hiku smiled, his eyes full of touched tears. He leaned at Blackberry and smiled quietly, he would and will always love Blackberry forever and ever.

It seemed appropriate because.. Well, LOOK INTO THE EYES! Aren't they simply adorable? OK, OK, they also look curious to me c:
short story under 800 words: It was a nice day, yes it was. Curiosus was having a wonderful time, lazing around and humming to himself. Then his pet sparrow flew off. OK, Curiosus admits that it doesn't actually belong to him, but he feeds it every day, and it always waits for him near the candy corn tree. And so, Curiosus set off on his perilous journey to find Sparrow, his pet sparrow.

First, he went to Donutland. He escaped the evil clutches of The Queen of Donuts and asked Cheshire Donut and Alice the Pretzel, but he still didn't find Sparrow.
Then, Curiosus asked Cream White and the 7 jellybeans. They didn't know either.
By then, Curiosus was getting frustrated. Where in the world was Sparrow?
His last hope lay with.... Beauty Ice-cream and Beast Sundae. Unfortunately, Curiosus walked in on a very dramatic moment of the story, and was kicked out.

So Curiosus returned home, feeling very dejected. He was so very sad, and definitely crying on the inside. Then, he herd a chirp. He turned around slowly, because he wanted this moment to last, and then, he felt tears of joy rolling down his cheeks ( not to ruin it or anything, but he yawned quite a bit before this dramatic, cliche moment, so it might have just been tears from too much yawning. ). Sparrow.

So, the two watched the sunset and ate candy corn from the candy corn tree. Little did Curiosus know that this wasn't Sparrow, his pet sparrow, but just another sparrow. They all look the same to him after all. But Curiosus doesn't really mind which sparrow eats candy corn with him.

My name is Metu you pronounce it [Me-too] very nice to meet you all.

The most important day of my life:
Lost out in a dark and damp forest Metu can feel the hair on his back lift and a shiver shoots through his spine. He closes his eyes and throws his head down, failure a common thought. He lifts his head and screams to the sky "If you want me to be happy then fix what I've done!!". His call answered, a bird flutters down and rests on the poor dragon's shoulder.
"What have you done sweet child?" the bird curious for the response.

"My family hates me, they told me to leave, I can't even leave properly! I have been walking for days and ive only made it this far!" Metu said in anger. He brushed the bird off and begged it to leave him alone.

"I once felt this way you know, the only thing that helped me was a little poem I heard by a waterfall once;
Care in life is something valuable sure,
Find happiness in every place, no matter what you have to endure.
Life will never try to leave you behind,
But it will be so very kind.
Just let yourself be lost,
Every path walked and crossed.
Sweet child there is no reason to be sad,
Do not cry and do not be mad.
For life is something beautiful,
no matter what you do or who you tell." the beautiful bird uttered. It took me a long time to understand that nothing is more important than happiness, soon I hope you understand this.

"My life seems like it is over, how could I ever be happy anymore?" Metu hunched over looking up in hope. "what can I do to be happy?"

"Take these colors, they all stand for an emotion, blue is hope, black is life, dark green is happiness and light green is peacefulness, rub them on your fur and you shall always feel this way, that I can promise to you." The bird said calmly as he lifted up his wing showing his lovely colors, the very same he gave the young dragon.

A black based JBD with light gray spots and green, red or blue markings along it. It could also have light gray ear tuffs and a colored horn as I have noticed most JBD horns tend to be gray or black. I also suggest perhaps giving it a sneaky like look perhaps making it seem innocent and guilty at the same time. it could also be based on a clock as I would LOVE to see a clock like JBD, this one may be given a rim of color along with a white or cream "face" and black numbers going along the body of it. These would most likely be males but they could be females if you wanted them to be.
