CJ smiles at Slush Puppy, a genuine smile, not the polite ones he's been giving her most of the time. He decides to try some trick shots with the balls, throwing them in various ways at the target.

First he throws it backwards, a classic. It goes sailing way over the target, over the booth even! A chicoon in the distance honks, "ow!" and CJ and Slush Puppy look at each other. Both have an expression of I won't tell if you don't tell.

Next he faces the target, deciding to throw it with his eyes closed, as if that's any safer than throwing it backwards. The ball hits the fabric around the target and thuds to the ground. "Boooo!" Slush Puppy yells, "boring!"

CJ goes for an underhanded toss next, as opposed to the overhand throws that are standard for dunk tank endeavors. This fails, of course. The ball is too weak and it dinks off the button pathetically.

The next attempt is kind of ridiculous. CJ drags some poor bystander into holding the ball for him, then he bats it off their hand with his tail. The stranger chicoon honks in alarm and scrambles away. CJ was close-ish on that go, but still didn't hit it.

"Maybe you hitting it was just a fluke..." Slush Puppy says. CJ snorts indignantly.

"Statistically," he says, "this shouldn't miss." He winds up the entire bucket of remaining balls in his hands and flings it as if he's a Victorian woman disposing of water out the window. The balls go flying, pelting the fabric, the target, the ground, everything. Froge yelps as he's dunked again. CJ grins proudly and Slush Puppy narrows her eyes.

"I'm PRETTY SURE that's cheating... but who cares."

Reaction: Smiling softly as Slush patted him on the back. Something she said stuck with him as she pushed the bucket holding the tennis balls to him. ‘...Shame it’s the last day of the carnival..’, her words echoed as he reached down to pick up a ball. But he stood frozen and sadden suddenly. He wasn’t going to have Slush tease him and laugh at how bad he was at her booth after today. The navy blue chicoon sniffled and inside the dunk tank, Froge looked up ready to tell him give it his best shot but stopped seeing that Alastair was teary eyed. They guessed that he actually quite enjoyed his time here at the booth. Even with him getting annoyed at them and Slush. Froge smirked as they felt sentimental. They didn’t want Alastair to feel sad on the last day, no, he cupped his paws together, “Hey Al, come on..if you just stand there Slush will make fun of you again!” Alastair wiped his face quickly and looked up. He figured that Froge must’ve seen him crying. He chuckled even though it was kind of forced, “Your in for it Froge I got a whole bucket of tennis balls at MY disposal.” He picked one up and chucked it at the target. Off to the side Slush smiled writing down in her journal that she thought her booth was a success and will never forget her experience. [wc-240]

Prompt: Alastair and Mangle grinned as Slush pulled a camera out of her things. Froge was already beside her and all that was left was for them to join them. Mangle tugged his father and the two toppled into Slush and Froge resulting into all four chicoons to end up in a pile. Laughing away. Slush managed to angle the camera to get all of them in the frame and an audible 'click' was heard. Slush smiled as she now had something very special to remember this summer's carnival. Mangle wiggled out of the pile of chicoons and helped Slush to her paws. He pointed to the camera, "Make sure you make me a copy of that picture okay? I wanna remember this Summer Carnival and well you most of all. Always great to make new friends!" Slush giggled and nodded. "I'll get you a copy for sure!" And with that Mangle and Alastair decided to stay and help clean up with Slush and Froge at the dunk booth.

Reaction: Seaweed gasps. This whole time, she and Flaffy Taffy have been trying to get that damned target- and yesterday they got it! After celebration abound, Froge and Slush Puppy enveloped in hugs that they most definitely did NOT want, nor need. All the frustration and genuine enragement towards this booth that both Seaweed and Leggers have felt over the past two weeks quickly turned to memories of fur and fun times. Sea sighed loudly, patting Flaffy Taffy's floofy little head as they walked up to Slush Puppy's stall on the very last day- only to be met with.. a compliment? Was that a compliment? From the one and only Slush Puppy of Slush Puppy's Dunk Booth? Goodness gracious!

Seaweed gratefully took the chance to use up the rest of the left over balls from the huge bucket, throwing a few of them at the target before getting a little bored of hitting it- and feeling a little spark of cheekiness rise up in their gut. She turned slowly, ball in hand, eyes lit up with the flame of competition. Slush, totally unaware of Seaweed's plan, scheme, if you will, was just barely turned away from her.

But- little did Seaweed know, Slush Puppy had the same plan.. And then proceeded a ball fight to end all ball fights! Laughing and fur and fun all mixing into the most wonderful afternoon at the carnival.
