I've stepped in to finish judging this competition as Medd is currently unable to do so.

You told a wonderful story of how family and times change, and how sometimes our best intentions with even the most thoughtful gifts don't always work out. The gift choice was surprising and interesting and worked in a lot of character development - it was a heartbreaking joy to read!
