Who am I? I'm Alexander, of course. You don't know who I am? Hah, damn, have I really been tucked away that long? I'm your worst thoughts. I captivate your head. Any bad thought you have... That's me. I'm not the best influence, but hey, without me you wouldn't be human. Hm? Why am I worse to some more than others? Well I'd think that'd be obvious. If I captivate your mind, it's your punishment. See, I make your humanity, but I can take it away as well. See, the worst people get me working full time to make their badness expressed on the outside. Aww, trying to suppress me? Cute, but it won't work. I'll claw my way out some time, you're just prolonging the inevitable. Cheated on a test? That was me. Stole some chips from that corner store? Me. Even worse? Hah, you guessed it, it was me again! The worse your crime, the more I own your brain.
Where am I? Everywhere. In your dreams, in your nightmares, in your daily life. I own you. No no, I'm not your favorite resident, am I? Think you'd be better without me? Well, without me, there'd be no criminals. Without criminals and bad people, how many people would be out of their jobs? Police, military, other protective forces... I merely run the food chain. Yeah, I'm kind of at the bottom of the food chain, but hey, at least I can trap a being's whole mind. Think it's just you humans? No, animals as well. Well, technically, you are an animal. I just bring out the most natural animal in you! It's pleasant, isn't it? Seeing humans revert back to their natural state? No? Too bad, kid. I'm here to stay, in your mind, forever.
Why do I do what I do? Well, to be honest, I wasn't always like this... I was born to be good. I was the goodest of the good, actually. I brought kindness and joy to all those around me. But this is my punishment now... I take care of the worst of the worst and- Hah! You didn't think I was serious, did you? No, I was born like this. My twin sister is the "goody-goody", though not sure what fun there is in keeping things orderly. See, despite being complete opposites, we work together quite well. If a human has half of me influencing them and half of my sister, then they are considered the perfect human. They can not be improved in any way. If a human has too much of me influencing them, they are an animal. Evil. If they have too much of my sister, then they are weak. They can't survive in the food chain for long. Anyway, back to why we do it. Well, we weren't really born, per say. We were made. Made by... Someone. Not quite sure who. But both of us were made to fix humans and make them, well, human. We're instructed to influence each persons mind either a little bit or a lot, whatever our creator says to do. I'm not really a bad guy, I'm just doing my job, and my job happens to be helping the human race.
