Her powers are only effective on.. well... inferior individuals, as Spook likes to call them.
In not so rude terms, people that are of lesser overall intelligence than her. Generally those
younger than her or just not as educated. Another limitation is that her her control is very
limited in time, and affects her negatively, for now. At her age, she isn't strong enough to
control others for tasks more than five minutes, and that's pushing it. It's very tasking on
her brain to actively suppress any urges the parra has, as well as forcing her own wishes.
Spook generally doesn't get away with anything big because her control isn't very strong and
she often gets terrible migraines right after. At this point is her life, the power is more of a
drawback than an advantage when used.

Spook is a pretty straight forward parra. Not necessarily honest, but she sure does speak without a filter. She comes off as so rude and unfriendly because of the way she speaks, despite not intending it. Spook really does want friends and to be liked, but doesn't know how to go about it. She can be so belittling without even meaning to, it's a shock to others. Those close to her have learned to just ignore it or accepted it as just Spook being Spook, although it does cause some arguments. You see, Spook is pretty advanced for her age. She wants to become a spy or scientist when she's older, so she's been working towards it and can honestly say that she's smarter than most kids in her little island. She speaks in words that are more seven year old than five. This makes her seem very well... she comes off as a try-hard. Spook doesn't mean to, she just has a goal that she works toward. Her outward snobbishness combined with her inability to think before speaking, makes for a complete social outcast. Most parras in Spook's kind of friendship circle are older than her. She doesn't get along too well with most younger ones so she just sits with the big kids and becomes one of them. Despite this, she is still not a big kid, so even in that group she doesn't fit in. She kind of is her own floating existence, belonging only with her family. She loves her brother very much. Noodles is one of her few real friends and she's always willing to lend her dad a hand with Noodles, even if it's partially just to remind Ryder she exists. She fiercely protects her brother from any negative thing anyone says about him and will often even get into fights over his honor. Spook isn't all that bad, right? However, her one fatal flaw, which could possibly destroy her, is her need for control. She is very particular about everything. She checks her mane over sixteen times to make sure not a hair is out of place. She would do it fifteen times, but fifteen is an odd number. She hates odd numbers. Whenever she goes to try to play with the others, like maybe hide and seek, she refuses to participate if the number of girls and boys are not equal. Don't even get her started on when parras use one word sentences. Don't tell her no! Give her a reason attached to that no or just shake your head!

Ryder is Spook's father. I mean he raised her, gave up his bachelor life for her.. and ignored her mostly, sure, but she still loves him. Normally when she wants his attention she'll do something, anything, to get his attention. Their relationship is pretty distant and not much can be said on how well they get along, because most times when they talk it's about Noodles or maybe just a little praise on how smart Spook is becoming (which generally influences her to become smarter or work harder). Spook is too young to really blame Ryder, but she can see that he's trying really hard to deal with a magical blind unicorn child. Spook hasn't actually told Ryder about her not-so-little power. She doesn't want to bother him any more than her problems with her eyes do. She will admit that she does sometimes use her power just for the migraine in order to get his attention. After a few tries she decided it wasn't worth it and only to use it when she needs to- needing to being used loosely, of course.

Noodles is Spook's little potato unicorn. Spook loves her brother. She helps her dad whenever she can with him, so she also feels a bit responsible for him. She is still his sister and still gets grumpy and annoyed at him, but she never stays that way. And she swore to herself never to mind control him. Ever. For anything. That's just how much she loves this little guy. She told him about her powers the second she noticed them, and even did a little show off test, which may or may not have resulted in her trying to mind control Ryder. Spook is fiercely protective of him, standing up to anyone that dares bully him. She considers herself a good older sister and pats herself on the back whenever she can make him laugh or smile or stop some bully from ruining his day. Spook is very jealous but tries her best to put her feelings aside because she knows Noodles loves her. He always cuddles up with her and asks for a story, or just follows her around. She has learned that it's not Noodles fault, but still kind of resents him internally.

Camniel is too quiet, in Spook's opinion. She isn't really scared off too much by his multiple eyes as she should be, I mean, have you seen her siblings? Whenever he's around he doesn't really talk to her, which puts Spook off a bit. She does enjoy his company, don't get her wrong, but she just wishes he were more talkative. His blindness isn't a bother to Spook. Spook just likes Camniel being around and just lounging with him, maybe telling him a story or just enjoying his company. However she doesn't get to spend much time with him, so they are a bit distant.

Spook's relationship with Raaz is actually quite good. They share some of the same traits, such as their bluntness and her love for zombies, as well as their intelligent natures. Spook loves seeing Raaz's drawings and making up little stories to go with them. She isn't really scared of them, as not too much scares Spook anyway. Whenever Spook gets to hang out with Raaz, she brings some cards so they can play. It's kind of become their main activity. Spook has become very interested in different card games due to this (though she looses almost every time). Raaz is probably Spook's favourite parent.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Azrael is someone Spook really admires. She will never admit it, as she is the older sister and therefore considers herself the one that should be admired. She is so jealous of his double wings, you wouldn't believe. She isn't really as jealous of the flight ability as much as the aesthetic. Whenever she gets to see him, she always plays with the feathers on his wings, which Azrael finds a bit annoying, but tolerates. Spook generally plays games a lot with Azrael, like no winged races or tug of war. As much as she loves Noodles, playing with Azrael is one thing she loves.

Aech is a bit.. strange, to Spook. Their overall appearance is definitely interesting to Spook and definitely makes her wonder how they are related, much less brother and sister. Spook tries not to treat Aech differently, but struggles with it. She worries that Aech might hit their bill on something or even Spook herself. To emphasize, Spook is not scared of Aech, but really just doesn't know how to act around them. This causes them to have a rather strained relationship and not very many things to converse about.

Well this seems like an appropriate place to put this. Let's talk about Spook's name. I mean her real name. Anangke is a very small and hardly mentioned Greek deity, one of inevitability, compulsion and necessity. I didn't really name her after that though. She is literally named after her power because I have no creativity. Anangke is taken from a Greek word with greek letters that I can't be bothered to copy and paste (Ἀνάγκη) meaning force, constraint, necessity. I basically decided to take force and constraint out of context and add my own definition to it, as for me constraining someone is still a form of controlling them, holding them back, and force as forcing someone to do something. However the character I had in mind for Anangke wouldn't want that name. It would be far too fancy for her, so I still kept Spook but as a nickname.

It was a hot boring day. What else was new? Kids were playing soccer as Spook sat and watched. She didn't play because if she did there would be more girls than boys. Ryder was especially more concerned with Noodles today than usual, so Spook had just left to go see if she could find somewhere to be noticed, or at least talk to someone. But here she was, not playing because of her stupid OCD. The game was loud and hurt her sensitive ears a bit, but it was fun to watch. She noticed another parra was going to join. And ruin the even-ness of the game! Don't you dare! She mentally willed them to go away. So just imagine her surprise when she found herself somehow in the parra's brain. It was hard to describe, but she somehow felt all their urges and wants weighing down on her, but also a little voice sounding like hers yelling "don't you dare," as she just had. She instinctively held the urges under control as the young parrapup shakily walked to the sandbox to play with the sand. Spook lost her grip on the parra's mind and groaned, feeling her head thumping in protest. She had no idea what just happened and looked around. The parrapup she had just mind controlled away from the game looked confused for a second, but then went on playing in the sand. Spook was so confused, and her head was killing her. She decided to go home. She greeted Ryder with a hug and then went to go tell Noodles everything... after taking a nap, of course. She explained the whole thing and how it felt inside the parra's head. Noodles didn't believe her at first, thinking it was just a story she made up. Angrily, Spook said she'd control Ryder and prove it. Noodles challenged her to make Ryder make noodles. Spook then went to Ryder and thought really hard, I want noodles at him. There seemed to be a wall, coded in an unsolvable manner blocking her. She tried harder, thinking perhaps she did it wrong. Still there was a wall. Eventually she stopped trying, but as she did, she felt as if a hammer had knocked her upside the head and nearly collapsed at the impact. She didn't even realize how long she had been trying to crack Ryder. Her brain wasn't developed enough to control someone of higher intelligence and her powers weren't developed enough to last that long. Long story short, Spook has never tried to control Ryder ever again and Noodles eventually got Spook's powers proven to him.

Let's talk about Spook. I mean we have been, but let's talk more about her! This section is about how she carries herself, talks, walks, stands, acts, and thinks. Ready? Let's go
speech habits • Spook has a naturally quiet voice, thank goodness for her sensitive hearing. She naturally sounds very soft and actually quite motherly. Many times she has been told to speak louder or speak up, but she genuinely can't. She is a quick speaker, however. She is often asked to slow down, but then gets too slow.. which ends in people thinking she's being sarcastic. Spook also has a larger vocabulary than expected of a five year old, so that normally enters conversations that she has. Whenever she is speaking she tends to look people straight in the eye. With the recent annoyance of her powers, she tries not to do that as much, in fear of accidentally taking control of them, but she is mostly safe on that one. She is a very animated speaker, with many hand motions and facial expressions to match her words and moods.
Walking • Spook is a quick walker, taking long quick steps that make her pretty hard to keep up with. She normally walks looking down, as she tries consciously not to trip and fall. To her, that is the worst embarrassment.
Behavior • She is capable of staying very calm and actually is very patient and tolerant. It takes quite a bit to get on her bad side... or just talking bad about Noodles.
Thought Process • Spook is very impulsive, so she doesn't think much before doing something stupid. She is very quick and intuitive, despite her intelligence. It's expected of smart people not to be impulsive, but alas, Spook is.
*Funfact, I kept calling her Spooky and had to fix that so many times. I think I fixed all of them
