Aurelia was practically raised by her dear brother. As children, their parents both worked day jobs, so the two young kias depended on each other mostly. They learned about life the hard way and grew up quickly because of it. Her brother had to become an adult very quickly so he could care for her, protect her. He even got a job so he could buy healthier foods for them both and things that their parents couldn't provide, like some of the more expensive school supplies. Aurelia vividly remembers the first Christmas after her brother got his first job; he gave her the red scarf that she wears now. She treasures that scarf more than anything.
Now that they're both adults, Aurelia tries her hardest to care for her brother like he did for her. She sends him little gifts every now and then; a flower, a note, a bit of candy. They don't get to hang out much anymore, but he's still the world to Aurelia. She adores him as much as a sister can and promises to always be there for him, like he was for her.

relationship with brother Teagen and her brother, Ezra, share a rather quirky relationship. To start off, they are nothing a like. Teagen is a more easy-going girl with low expectations and a love for scarves. Whenever they are together, they find it rather uncomfortable and awkward, like the feeling you get when you sit in a room full of people you don't know and you're eating. Most siblings are close and pick on each other and do things together, but not these two. When Teagen was younger she was sent to Australia to learn the culture and stayed for five years with a visit back home every two months. They never got that beginning years bonding time which now leads to their awkwardness.

She was much smaller in build than him and was not nearly as strong. She walked lightly and quickly, her gray optics often fixated upon the ground. The charcoal colored female was curious yet shy, so different compared to those around her; she came from a household of rich, powerful relatives. There were few family members she truly cared for. However... shy was dying for attention from one kiamara, the mysterious older male who was her brother.
Hibiri didn't know what made her grow apart from her family, but slowly, inch by inch, she began to become detached from her rich parents, they offered little attention anyway. She had few friends and little to do, only wanting the companionship of her brother.
She honestly just wanted his approval. She wanted him to love her and care for her, talk to him about her day and then about his.
It was wrong to say he was perfect or that she was. Hibiri looked up to a brother who ignored her completely. Ezra was rather dark while she herself was always weak, words hitting her hard as stones would. She was delicate inside and out, her large round eyes fixated on her powerful brother doing things she only could wish to do.
She did get angry at him. She got angry, upset, she hated him sometimes. Why did he not talk to her? Ignore her? She couldn't understand him, she didn't understand his reasoning, and it wasn't possible.
She was not Ezra.
But if she knew she and Ezra could maybe be friends one day, she'd keep trying. For now, even a smile slipped to her from Ezra was enough. A smile, and glance, a word, enough to keep her trying for her brother’s attention.
She would watch people talk and squabble over money, it destroyed those dearest to them for money. Hibiri did not understand it, not at all. She knew she was surrounded by it, the countless toys Ezra collected, the servants, the mansion; they were all reminders, all warnings. They threatened to break her just as it broke many others. She didn't want to be taken away by the greed of people; she did not want to save herself from it, but herself and Ezra.
Maybe that way she and Ezra could be together...and worldly possessions would not matter to them. It would just be her and big brother.

Mary Margaret is obviously a mix between 'Mary' and 'Margaret',
giving it the meaning of "Rebellious Pearl"; After both of the
names' individual meanings.

Mary Margaret and her brother have a bit of a complicated
relationship. Maybe not to others, but in Mary Margaret's
mind it is.

Mary Margaret fears Ezra. Not in a scared way, but out of
respect. She fears him in the same sense you would fear
your parents, or your teachers, or how a religious person
fears their god(s).

Even though Mary Margaret isn't scared of Ezra, she is in
fact intimidated by him. Being small and petite, Mary
Margaret is a bit skeptical of his larger size as well as his
attitude.

But despite the fact Miss Mary Margaret here tends to keep her
distance from her bigger bro, she loves him dearly and hates
for him to be hurt, sick, sad, or even if he gets into the
wrong kind of crowd. Mary Margaret loves him and wants
nothing less than the best for Ezra; even if it means she gets
the worst for herself.

In fact, the scarf around Mary Margaret's neck belongs to Exra,
or at least it's supposed too. She made it for him when they
were younger, still children, however never had the confidence
to work up enough courage to actually give it to the man; so,
Mary Margaret constantly wears it - even when sleeping - waiting
for when she might actually give it to him.

Though, we all know that probably won't happen.

Darcii likes to pretend that her and her brother get along perfectly while in reality their relationship is the complete opposite. Her brother is one to snap easily at the slightest of things, letting his anger out on those he is closest to to isolate himself from his surroundings. He hurts her whenever they are alone at home in the night, when no one will be awake to hear her screams and when no one will be around to question them. Because she is so fearful of him, she lies to hold on to what small amount of sanity she has left though it only pulls her deeper into a web that she cannot pull herself back out of.

She smiles even when she feels like the earth below her is being torn away from her feet, she laughs even though her breath is being choked out of her. If you look deep enough into her eyes you can see the glints of pain, though they are hidden too well in her perfect made-up world for anyone to notice their presence.

It is because of her brother that she wears her scarves all the time, though they strangle her day and night she feels a retched need to keep something around her neck to hide the scars that he has left on her skin. She could never tell them the real reason so she instead makes up even more lies - he gave them to her as a gift. She loves them more than anything in the world because it represents their love. It is like keeping a piece of him close to her heart.

Though they are all stories they are believed without question, as is her fake reality she clings to so dearly like a rope holding her from falling off of a steep cliff.
