emits a pink-orange color similar to this Kia. Contrary to her

Although Oxygen is a common element and affects every living thing, Reikan feels more connected to it than most others. When she was younger, Reikan had lung cancer which caused her father to leave her mom because of financial difficulties. When Reikan finally beat the cancerous cells when she was two years old, her mother presented her with her feathers for Reikan's bravery and fight against the sickness.

The encournter with the sickness made Reikan more appreciative and aware of how Oxygen works with your body. She never knew how important it was until it was nearly gone.

He once wanted to use acid made from fluorine, and after some googling he found out it was interesting and easy to use as a dumb metaphor.

Fluorine cannot exist on its own, but is part of many often-used substances ("Just like individuals," he'll say looking into the distance). Kev finds it's different forms impressing: a nice-looking crystal, a dangerous and corrosive fluid, a gas that combusts when you look at it.
By messing around he discovered it made certain metals easier to melt, which resulted in great art and a minor explosion.

Fluorine is definitely his favorite element.

The two scientists with discovered Barium were Humphry Davy and Carl Wilhelm Scheele. Barium is Scheele's favorite element, and the name "Scheele" (even though it's a last name), was the coolest out of the five names presented.

Scheele loves Barium. Actually, "love" may be an understatement. He ADORES the element. The reasons he gives for showing such feelings are because it can be used for so many different things and because it vanishes upon oxidation. The reactions that Ba give off please him as well. When Barium and any other non-metal are heated together, they give off hydrogen gas. What he most likes about it, though, are Volatile Barium compounds, which give off a green flame. Scheele could sit and watch the fire for days. He's forever looking for new compounds to create with his favorite element.
