kia name: Tachiko
gender: male
what the feathers/beads represent: to this kia, the beads and feathers adorned on him represent his spiritual connection with the spirit world. Tachiko was saved from death as a child by a spirit, but by doing so, passed a curse on to this Kia. He cannot live without the spirits, for it was they who gave his life to him. If the faint glow and heat from the beads fade and disappear, then his life shall no longer exist. The beads and feathers may be separated from his body, so it's not in complete contact, but without them, he won't know what his connection is. As of now, he doesn't know how to increase or decrease his connection with the spirits, but he has taken it under assumption that the better deeds he does in life, the better his connection.

Bland and Proud wrote:Memories are hard to capture; this I discovered when I was young. Sitting outside, basking in the sunlight, I
enjoined the breeze in my fur and the smell of oncoming rain. I'd always loved the rain- not so much the hard
cold pellets that hurt when they spattered against your forehead, but the gentle drizzling that came down on
warm, happy days like this one. My violet colored eyes glanced down, raindrops seeping into my ruddy
brown fur that so few kiamaras ever cared to notice. My paw print, an unusually deep imprint for my lighter
stature, was already collecting a muddy pool.
I left the print there for the night, knowing full well that by tomorrow morning the rain would have gone
and the print would be full and clear. As I lay indoors, watching the streaks of damp color outside, I took
notice then of my paints. I wasn't very artistic, but my uncle had gotten them for me when I was little in
the hopes that I'd take after my mother. Sitting up, I moved over and dusted off the silver cans. Cracking
one open, a smile curled at my maw and the edges of my eyes crinkled as they always did. Purple; my
favorite color. I glanced over my shoulder and to my tail, flicking it's end so that the brilliant colors of my
feathers flashed back at me. I never did like those colors; they were too... bright. For my dull pelt and
neutral personality they were, anyway.
I ended up snipping them. I disentangled them from my tail, yanked them from my horn, unwound them
from my throat and slid them from my wrist. I stared down at the pile that had grown, feeling oddly
nude without the kiamara-defining trait of them attached to me. But that was okay; I'd fix that.
Searching until I found the discarded flight feather of a Blue Jay, I took my favorite necklace and cut
one end, forming a long trail of semi-sparkly purple beads, this one not given to me but made by my
grandmother before I was old enough to receive my feathers. Watching it tangle so hopelessly
antagonized me into tossing it away, mildly upset it had ruffled the base of my Blue jay feather.
Dipping the feather in the purple paint given to me by uncle, I pulled it free and flicked it, pleasantly
surprised that the stripes had remained and the feather dried with an almost spontaneous look to it.

The next day, I went out to check my paw print. As predicted, the print was full of crystal clear water
and I could see my own reflection perfectly, my violet eyes and dull plum horns again the only thing
colorful about me. But, seeing the new, smaller purple feather at my wrist and feeling the beads
clicking softly together at my tail reminded my otherwise. Like my loved Grandparents had said when
I was just a little mite: no one was perfect, I should be proud to be who I was. And I most certainly was.
The new feathers, the beads- they all saw to that. Now when other kiamars called me mean names for
my messy hair and 'wasted beauty', I'd remind them that I was special in my own quiet way.

xxMoral of the Story wrote:So my story didn't tell you anything? Well... alright. My feathers and beads represent my memories, just as
collecting the rain water from the day previously reminded me of my favorite moment that day.
The paint had been a gift from my uncle, the beads from my grandmother and the feather's from a Blue Jay;
each one the same color as my horns. It all proved that even if other kiamaras didn't like me, my family and
friends took the time to notice and react to my lonely emotions. This resembles a reminder that, no matter
what you may think, someone is always watching out for you... even if it's some random bird you don't even
remember seeing.

baby, its cold outside~ you try once again to talk to someone. it does not go well and you
flounder out, deciding to be brave another day. your friends pat
you on the back, telling you 'next time, hun.' you are upset and
don't like the way they called you 'hun.'
Halloween is fast and coming. you cant wait. your hs held a
haunted house and movie for Halloween yesterday. afraid of the
amount of people at first, you have a second thought until a good
friends says they're going too. its the best night you've had for a
few weeks.
its your friend's birthday today. you seem to be the only one that
remembers it however.
its a 3 day week at school. you take the time to catch up on the
world.
you haven't written anything for a few days. you haven't had any
reason too until now.
you realize that your crushing, hard. he's one of he sweetest you
know and makes you smile. yesterday he told you something that
you will forever cherish.
'im just kidding. im sorry. i love you. your my inspiration.'
he makes you feel something
it is a month until your 17th birthday.
you don't know how to celebrate.
you ride the train with your friends again. you relive some of your
happiest moments and start to dance without a care.
you can feel the fall as you sip a pumpkin spice latte and read a
favourite book.
you live joy as the leaves fall around you. you dance and start to
sing to a favourite band outside.

kia name:I would name this Kiamara Kysian
gender:This Kia will be
what the feathers/beads represent: Kysian's beads represent places that she's visited and loved.
All though the beads look the same from afar, like the people you meet.
If you look closer, each bead is shaped a little differently.
Kysian's feathers represent her family.
who gave them to her to remember them no matter where she travels.
