Her parents named her Charlotte, expecting her to live up to this quite fancy name, but later in life, she cut it short to Charlie. Reason this name was chosen: I couldn't think of anything, therefore, I decided to search for some candy names. Somehow, Amavel truffles came up. I have no idea what they are, though they look delicious, but the picture on the bag reminded me of this fella's coloring. I'm not sure why it does, but it does. Also, the name just clicks for me, like Bessie for a cow or Ginger for a cat.

A lot of people it seems say that this JBD reminds them of land or cinnamon buns. He doesn't to me though.
For me, he looks like two things. The first being Amavel truffles. I don't really know why he does, but it just seems to fit. It's as though he's like candy in the sense that he has a dark exterior, almost like a chocolate, but the lighter colors are his insides. I know it's a really weird analogy, but it works. So, why did I choose truffles? Perhaps it's because I never had one. Or, perhaps it's because the colors on this little guy reminded me of the ones I saw in the picture.
The second thing is a raspberry danish. The lighter colors represent the pastry and the darker red tones represent the fruit. I think this makes more sense than truffles, but, hey whatever works.

I decided that I would name him Char because he reminded me of bacon, and that got me thinking about the sounds and smells and all the scenery and senses there are when you're cooking any type of meat, but especially bacon. I feel like Char would be a suitable name because it kind of goes along with this whole theme of the scenery, as you can char-broil some types of meat, and the dark red on his coat reminded me of it.
