Day Nine Individual Responses
The chicken stares at Anthracite, unamused. It starts to cough, and you see it cough up... a rupee? Oh, no, it's 1x Ice Crystal Nightlight!
The chicken leads you a couple of yards into the Pit, where you stumble upon a nicely made nest topped with a purple blanket. You get the sense that it lives here.

The chicken looks up at GodFather and beckons him to follow with its wing. It's probably not leading him out of the Pit... but where else is there to go?
The chicken bocks back in a way which Everett interprets as "Hello! My name is Mariana. I live down here."
When Goob returns the next day, there is not a note waiting for them. They look around, confused, hoping to find one, but they only find 1x Companion Gummies with the word "Goob" written on the tag.
The chicken stares at the rock and its pupils widen to a frightening amount. It snatches it up in its beak and does a happy dance before tucking it under its wing, out of sight. As it is tucking the rock away, the chicken pulls out 1x Crystal Ball and gives it to Puddles.
The chicken seems content that Bobo is waddling its waddles. It digs under its wing and pulls out 1x Frosting Feet Cookies for Bobo.
The chicken wiggles its way off of Zodiac's head, but clucks and seems happy to stay next to him.
Sweaty emerges from the depths of the Pit holding the chicken. He places the chicken at Motley's feet, stares at him, and then drop kicks Motley out of the Pit. Motley flies into the air and lands on the surface in a snowdrift, overall unscatched but sore.
When he raises his eyes, there is a note from the Pit. It reads:
"Congrats! You found the one way to get out of the Pit. You are now banned from the Pit for life."
(You are free to return to the Pit with another Chicoon you own, however if Motley returns nothing good will happen to you.)
Like a cat, the chicken blinks slowly, which Blue Moon Lagoon can assume means that the chicken sees them as a friend.
The chicken stares at the orange for a moment, then starts to peck at it, eating both the outer skin and the juicy fruit inside. Beak covered in orange goop, it digs under its wing and pulls out 1x Frosting Feet Cookies for you to enjoy with it.
When Cypher returns the next day, there is no note for them. Worried, they begin to search, and in the snow they find a crude drawing of what seems to be an among'sus... and a chicken?
When Artemis returns, there is no regular note for them. There is a torn piece of paper which seems to have been scrawled upon in a frantic manner. It reads:
"Not prisoner. Cannot get out. Mariana well."
Attached to the note is 5x Companion Gummies that seem to only be redeemable for 5 Pet Rocks
The chicken waves back.
Winchester's Wolf wrote:He looked down at the chicken and thought for a moment. How? When? Where and WHY? Honestly he shouldn't question it too much as someone was already following him around- and he had an irrational fear of...the Other Anthracite. He took a quick look over his shoulder before looking back at the chicken. Fine. He'll approach it. But not...normally. He decided to do a dodge roll while yelling "HUH HUP CHEYA," before rolling in front of the chicken and letting out his final scream, "HYAAAAT".

They hoped they were saying a greeting, or asking ‘how are you’. But with their luck, they were probably saying a string of curses. “What are you doing down here?”
The chicken bocks back in a way which Everett interprets as "Hello! My name is Mariana. I live down here."

He slowly lowers himself down to lay on the ground so their face is even with the chicken. "Oh hello there." He smiles and wiggles his wings in a happy greeting. His tail wags with excitement, throwing a few drops of water around.
"You look so cool! Are you a bird? What kind of bird are you?" He tilts his head looking over the chicken. "Oh oh I'm Puddles! Nice to meet you." He offers their weird shaped hand for a handshake. They stand there for a second waiting for a response before giggling. "Oh right you probably can't shake my hand. That's ok! We're still friends now. Do you want a rock? I've got a few! I keep getting hit in the head by them for some reason. But that's ok! I love rocks. I give all my friends rocks! Hmmm let me find a special rock for you..."
Puddles digs through his secret rock stash and pulls out a brown rock with golden sparkling bits. "This one reminds me of your feathers." He smiled and set the rock down by the chicken's feet. "It's official. We're friends now!."
The chicken stares at the rock and its pupils widen to a frightening amount. It snatches it up in its beak and does a happy dance before tucking it under its wing, out of sight. As it is tucking the rock away, the chicken pulls out 1x Crystal Ball and gives it to Puddles.

It doesn't last very long. The chicken won. "Friends now?" asks Blue Moon Lagoon, not knowing if the chicken can communicate with a chicoon, let alone understand a chicoon.
Like a cat, the chicken blinks slowly, which Blue Moon Lagoon can assume means that the chicken sees them as a friend.

He was baffled on to how he ended up in this situation. As he stared around him in the darkness seemed to be creeping ever closer. Feeling his body begin to shake as he sensed something come closer. Was this the think leaving notes and screaming? If it was it had to be horrifying. It kept getting closer and closer tell it was right in front of him. He jumped squealing then falling silent as he looked at what was in front of him. It was a chicken of all the things to be in the pit with him it was a chicken. Laughing at him self at how scared he was previously. Though this little thing was giving him the creeps a little its eyes seemed to be staring into his soul. “Want to do you want?” he asked as if the creature could talk back to him. Then an idea popped into his head. He always carried extra oranges with him even when he was sleeping. Never know when you need one! Pulling one out he offered it to the chicken ”Want an orange?” he asked as he set it on the ground in between them.
The chicken stares at the orange for a moment, then starts to peck at it, eating both the outer skin and the juicy fruit inside. Beak covered in orange goop, it digs under its wing and pulls out 1x Frosting Feet Cookies for you to enjoy with it.
Eievui wrote:"Hi again! Oh, companions! They are very neat. I don't have one currently but if I can meet one and we get along nicely, I wouldn't be opposed to it. Even though I'm an introvert, I do really enjoy the company of others. I generally prefer being in smaller, close-knit groups, rather than a larger social setting. If I had a companion, I'd love to encounter a Slunky or mOth. The slunkies are funky critters with spiral antennae and a spiral body center. They have a long snout and a soft tail. Also, the mOths are big, fluffy bugs with tall ears and big wings. I think both of those species are very charming. Do you have any favorites as well?

I'm curious though, are you keeping the Chicoons inside of you prisoner, or can they leave when they wish to? I hope they're okay down there. On another note, I decided to draw you a pet rock! They're really adorable little guys! I used to have one when I was just a little whelp, but unfortunately, I lost it. Have you ever seen a pet rock before? How is your little companion doing? I look forward to your next note!
~Sincerely, Artemis.
