This time, Harja swears he's going to catch something.

Last night, he was up late stalking the water's edge waiting for the evening bugs to lure larger fish closer to the shore. With little luck however, the light of the campfire a short ways away seemed to scare them away. Any tiny shift of his shadow on the water sent the schools of minnows darting under rocks and scattering throughout the lake.

Now, he had a new idea- Harja woke just before day break, the sun yet to rear its hot, overbearing rays. When he stepped outside his group's cabin he was feeling groggy at first, however the camp was clear with only a few who slept outside under the stars left around the firepits. He darted to the lake edge, it's a more popular spot he'd noticed than his little secluded alcove, the water a little deeper closer to the shore. It seemed he was in luck, with no one else here to compete with him or rustle around scaring the fish, Harja could see a few decent sized shadows swimming about. He reached down and tossed one into the air, sputtering a mewl when it bounced off his paws, turning his head away when he clasped it in his forelegs and its tail smacked him across the muzzle a few times in its struggle before slipping out of his hold. It bounced and wriggled along the rocks as he scrambled to catch it again but watched helplessly as it slipped back into the water and darted away.

This was going to be harder than he expected- these fish were more slippery than the ones he'd seen in the glade.
