"Oh mr.Hansley, Ohh mr.Hansely"she called for her librarian. Where could he be. She wondered around the lite room trying too find him. The library was covered with vines and flowers, stacked on shelves where books by famous authors. Malaica loves to read chick flicks and poems. It wasn't her fault they where just so great! Her favorite though is mystery, she loves how they solve them. But she was stills woundering where her librarian was. They said he was here. Yet it gave her the creeps looking around she sat at a beer table and picked her favorite book "When Crime Happens" and began to read. As she was a few pages in she heard creeks on the floor. "Is anyone there?" she asked her body still, her breath rising up and down. She was scared. Looking around she saw that the door had been blocked. What happen? Why was she trapped in this place. Soon the light died down and it became very......dark.(Just a little thing I will finish if I ever win, I know some people love to know what would happen so I left it open)

kalon name: Maybelle
maybelle just had to get away from it all sometimes. get away from all the manipulation and hidden motives of others, and escape into the place that held the most sincerity and honesty. the place where everything's actions were real with no hidden strings attached. nature.
she wasn't always this way. as a young kalon, maybelle's empathetic and soft personality caused her to care deeply about other kalons, oftentimes sacrificing her own health and time to cheer or comfort other kalons during times of need. of course, her kindness made her get walked over and used, causing a once optimistic and altruistic kalon to become cynical and jaded about her world.
of course, that didn't mean that her compassionate and selfless personality disappeared forever. on the contrary, she cared twice as much about everything and their wellbeing if applicable, especially after learning about how cruel the world could be sometimes. she just had to escape from civilization and be alone for a bit at times to avoid getting burned out. tending to her flower garden was one of her favourite secret past times, as she got to see the fruits of her labour spring to life before her very eyes. it was rewarding, to care for something and to see it only get better when she put more affection into it. nothing like other animals, who sometimes would drag her down with them when she tried to fix them and left her broken and cynical. nature was the place where she could heal her soul in peace, without the mundane tasks and expectations of society.
despite not being the most sociable kalon, she's been working on healing her emotional wounds and hopes that one day they'll just become scars, and eventually wants to make the world a better place and prevent others from going through similar, worldview altering experiences that she did. for now however, she'll be found in a secluded park or garden, tending to her flowers and exploring the pureness of nature.

kalon name: matilda - tilly for short.
writing: (397 words.)
as the head of the set design crew, tilly was tasked with bossing around everyone else on the crew. but of course, when she needed to find one of the crew members, they were mysteriously absent. "there's not that many places to hide back here. where is she?" tilly was promptly shushed by one of the actors.
"sorry."
before she could find the crew member, she was distracted by the sound of crying. she followed the sound to one of the dressing rooms, where she tentatively pushed open the door.
"hello? is everything alright?"
sitting on a bench, sniffling, was one of the actors. tilly knelt down beside her. she recognized the girl from previous rehearsals - she wasn't one of the main roles, but she had quite a few lines.
"hey, what's wrong?" tilly asked.
the girl lifted her head and tried to speak, but started crying again instead. tilly sat with her for a few minutes until the tears subsided.
"i can't go on stage tomorrow night."
"why not?" tilly asked.
"i'm too scared! there'll be so many people and i've never performed in front of a huge crowd." she paused to sniffle. "i'm going to forget my lines!" she wailed.
"no, you're going to do fine! i know performing is scary, but just... imagine the audience in their underwear."
"i've tried that before."
tilly was quiet for a minute. "do you want to hear about the time i tried to perform?"
"what?"
"when i was a little kid, i went to see a musical with my parents, and i loved it, so i auditioned for a local show. they let me in as a background dancer, but i was not good at dancing. during the last night of the show, i somehow forgot the dance, and i bumped into the main actor. we went tumbling offstage, into the orchestra pit, and i landed in a tuba."
the girl put her hands over her face, and it looked like she was trembling. oh god, did i make her cry? then, she burst out laughing. tilly sighed. “you scared me for a second! i thought you were crying.”
“maybe of laughter! you fell into a tuba?”
“yep. that’s why I do set design now – not performing.”
“you know what, maybe i will try to go back out there.”
tilly grinned. “glad i could help. good luck!”

ᴜsᴇʀɴᴀᴍᴇ;; ᴛʏʀᴀɴɴɪᴄᴀʟ . ɴᴀᴍᴇ;; ᴄᴀʟʟɪᴇ
She stumbled through the dense forest, a long scarf that kept tangling around her paws, dragging in the dirt.
It was autumn, and the days were getting colder.
She heard a thud,
a laugh
and a voice that cut through the frosty air,
"Follow me!"
She was still young, playing in the woods. Child-like giggle echoing through the foliage. Chasing after the blurry figure of her best friend, older than her, but not by much. They were almost side by side, racing through an old path deep inside a forest, the sun still high in the sky, mostly covered by clouds. An opening into a great field of winter wheat caught her eye as she tried to keep up with her best friend.
Paws getting caught in her long scarf which had partially come undone, she tripped, tumbling forward, taking her companion with her and they rolled to a stop, the crop caught in their fur and hair. They layed on their backs, facing the sky illuminated yet not bright. Her best friend reached over, pulling a bow from her hair, placing it into Callie's.
A smile.
A perfect moment.
There were stars in our eyes.
1999, February - Open my heart and let it bleed onto yours
She sat with her biology books open in front of her, along with scattered textbooks about other junk that her roommate ended up getting on this side of the room.
10 years is a surprisingly long time.
She groaned quietly, slamming the book shut and smacking her head against it, quickly regretting it.
It is quite easy to forget in all honesty, Callie gives too many chances, because people make mistakes and then those mistakes are forgotten.
But there are always precious moments that can't be forgotten.
Callie sat in her college dorm, the rain pattering against the window outside, best friend asleep on the bed next to her who surprisingly hadn't woken.
Her paw brushed they bow that sat atop her head, trailing down to an old tattered scarf.
She smiled.
Turning to her best friend.
A special memory close to her heart.

kalon name: london
“ding, ding” was the sound of the diner bell, the small, but nicely kept, restaurant was peaceful and soft, the only chatter was from the cooks, proudly congratulating themselves on a nice review.
london sat near the window, with a small milkshake, and a book. the rain outside was calming to her, and it helped her concentrate. she flipped through the pages, her legs comfortably crossed.
she looked up as someone came inside, a tall, pretty girl with long brown hair stepped inside.
the girl wore a striped top, tucked into her fancy skirt, which had the silhouette of a poodle on it.
london was at a loss of words for the girl, and she didn't notice she was staring. she watched as she tucked a pack of gum into her purse, and walked over to the counter.
it was when she looked back at London, that she noticed she had been more than just observing. she scrambled for her book, trying to make it seem like she was just daydreaming, but she couldn't focus.
she sighed, trying to make it seem like she was just completely entranced in the book. slowly, she began to be able to read again. the soft droplets on the roof gave her a nice thing to listen to, and she dove right back into where she left off.
“hey.” came a voice, and london looked up from her book. she blushed as she realized it was the girl she had been eyeing, her feet dangling under her.
“hi.” she greeted, her voice high pitched and a bit squeaky. she covered her mouth, not expecting the odd tone.
the sweet smell of waffles and whipped cream danced around the small diner, making london a bit hungry. she turned her head, one of the chefs holding three plates of waffles, gliding them onto the counter.
“did i- catch your eye?” the girl asked, giggling. she sat down across from london, making her even more flustered.
“ah, maybe.” she squeaked, embarrassed. she wore a belly skirt, some flats, and a shirt that had a hair bow on it. she sipped her strawberry milkshake, almost choking on the ice cream. she knew she was bright red, and she didn't know what to do.
the girl grabbed londons hands, her own face becoming red. “you're- pretty cute, ya know?”
